Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Organize, clean, and maintain the HVAC shop and related equipment</li>
<li>Place accurate material and parts orders to maintain proper inventory levels</li>
<li>Assist HVAC crews as needed with various tasks</li>
</ul>
Requirements:

Shop Assistant-HVAC

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Communicate project status through use of phone and email</li>
<li>Responsible for developing and training apprentices</li>
<li>Prioritize and complete general and daily responsibilities</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized job and well inventoried company van</li>
<li>Exhibit excellent customer relations skills</li>
<li>Assist with the coordination of job materials, labor and equipment</li>
<li>Work with other departments as needed as a team</li>
<li>Adhere to company safety standards and procedures</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>5+ years&rsquo; experience of troubleshooting HVAC/R systems of all types and sizes</li>
<li>Strong leadership and managerial skills are necessary</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, &amp; manuals</li>
<li>Attention to detail, while providing accurate service reports and maintenance checklists</li>
<li>Capable of proficiently and accurately troubleshooting all commercial/industrial equipment</li>
<li>Perform proper maintenance and repairs to commercial/industrial equipment per manufacturer specifications</li>
<li>Understand and explain the refrigeration cycle</li>
<li>Knowledge of properly charging refrigeration systems</li>
<li>Knowledge of hot water/ steam boilers</li>
<li>Possess an EPA 608 certification</li>
<li>Possess a CSD 1 certification</li>
<li>Lockout tagout</li>
</ul>
Equipment and tool experience:
<ul>
<li>Aerial -lift Operation - Boom &amp; Scissor</li>
<li>Forklift Operation - Material Handling up to 5000#</li>
<li>Telehandler (preferred)</li>
<li>Chauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical</li>
<li>Trailer Loading and Securing of Material</li>
<li>Multimeter</li>
</ul>
Rigging Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.</li>
<li>Use &amp; recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope slings</li>
<li>Use &amp; recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines</li>
<li>Identifies common load configurations &amp; positioning</li>
<li>Rigger 2 training</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.</li>
<li>Work in permit &amp; non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally</li>
<li>Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards</li>
<li>Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.</li>
<li>Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.</li>
