Position Summary:The woodshop assembler is responsible for assisting the Senior Fabricators in the production of custom millwork products according to customer specifications. The successful candidate must have a basic understanding of millwork fabrication and be willing to learn and develop their skills. The woodshop assembler will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.Essential Functions (Other duties as assigned):<ul><li>Assist senior millwork fabricators in the fabrication and assembly of custom millwork products.</li><li>Learn and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required and the methods of fabrication.</li><li>Operate hand and power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders to cut, shape, and form materials.</li><li>Sand and finish millwork products to ensure a smooth and polished appearance.</li><li>Communicate with senior millwork fabricators to ensure that project deadlines are met and that the products meet customer specifications</li><li>Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.</li><li>Assembling millwork products such as cabinets using hand and power tools.</li><li>Follow company procedures and directives.</li><li>Inspecting and testing finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.</li><li>Maintain the tools used to create products.</li></ul>Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and keeping work areas clean and organized.<ul><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Education and Required Skills:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Some experience in millwork fabrication or related field is preferred.</li><li>Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications.</li><li>Basic understanding of hand and power tools and machinery</li><li>Good communication skills and the ability to take direction from senior millwork fabricators.</li><li>Good manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure that assembled products are of high quality and meet customer specifications.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop new skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.</li><li>Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies to improve product quality and efficiency.</li><li>Understanding of math and measurements (tape measure)</li></ul>Working Condition:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise levels consistent with a mill work factory environment. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Solid Surface Fabricator Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Solid Surface Fabricator will be responsible for transforming raw solid surface materials into high-quality finished products such as countertops, tabletops, vanities, and other custom installations. The ideal candidate&rsquo;s expertise in fabricating, shaping, and finishing solid surfaces will contribute to creating visually appealing and durable products for our clients.Essential Functions (Other duties as assigned):<ul><li>Manufactures and fabricates from various manufacturers.</li><li>Reviews project specifications, blueprints, or drawings to determine the required dimensions and specifications of the solid surface products.</li><li>Selects appropriate solid surface materials and prepares them for fabrication by cutting, shaping, and sanding.</li><li>Utilizes a variety of tools and machinery to fabricate solid surface materials, including but not limited to cutting saws, routers, grinders, and sanders.</li><li>Assembles solid surface components using bonding agents, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners.</li><li>Performs finishing tasks such as sanding, buffing, and polishing to achieve a smooth and uniform surface on the fabricated solid surfaces.</li><li>Conducts thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications, standards, and customer requirements.</li><li>Identifies any defects or imperfections and takes corrective measures to achieve the desired result.</li><li>Maintains and operates fabrication equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition; this includes performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.</li><li>Reads and interprets work orders to ensure accuracy regarding customer requests.</li><li>Cuts sinkholes, backsplashes, etc., to match exact specifications in job notes/drawings.</li><li>Uses job notes to determine plan for miters, edges, etc.</li><li>Always adheres to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.</li><li>Complies with relevant regulations and industry standards related to solid surface fabrication, including proper handling and disposal of materials.</li><li>Collaborates effectively with team members, including designers, project managers, and installers, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the fabrication process.</li></ul>Education and Required Skills: <ul><li>High School diploma or GED</li><li>Experience in cabinet manufacturing preferred</li><li>Proficiency in using a range of tools and equipment for solid surface fabrication.</li><li>Knowledge of fabrication techniques, including cutting, shaping, bonding, and finishing.</li><li>Familiarity with specific solid surface materials and their properties.</li><li>Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.</li><li>Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.</li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to follow instructions from manufacturing supervisor and team leaders.</li></ul>Working Condition: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise levels consistent with a mill work factory environment.
