We're relatable, approachable, and free of unnecessary jargon.Purposeful Growth - We continuously seek better ways to serve and expand through thoughtful implementation of technology, processes, and strategies that enhance both client experience and team collaboration.The RoleYou'll manage your own diverse caseload with minimal supervision across three key areas:<ul><li>Estate Planning - Draft comprehensive wills, trusts, powers of attorney, succession plans, and ancillary documents</li><li>Trust Administration &amp; Probate - Handle asset transfers, beneficiary communications, court filings, and estate settlements</li><li>Trust/Estate Litigation - Manage trust and probate disputes, conduct depositions, draft motions, and represent clients in court</li><li>Conduct consultations to identify needs and objectives, crafting custom solutions tailored to complex family dynamics and significant assets.</li><li>Maintain accurate case files and meet all court deadlines.</li><li>Provide guidance, supervision, and training to paralegals and support staff to ensure high-quality document preparation and case management</li></ul>What We're Looking ForEssential Qualifications:<ul><li>JD and active California State Bar license in good standing</li><li>3-5 years (minimum) of law firm experience in estate planning, trust administration, or probate</li><li>Deep knowledge and understanding of the California Probate Code, Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), and California Rules of Court (CRC)</li><li>At least 10 depositions conducted</li><li>Strong motion practice and discovery experience</li><li>Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish</li><li>Tech-savvy with experience in case management systems</li><li>Comfortable with billable hour requirements and contemporaneous time tracking</li></ul>The Ideal Candidate:<ul><li>Driven by a passion for justice and delivering the best outcomes for clients</li><li>Thrives on the intellectual challenge of complex estate and probate matters</li><li>Finds purpose in helping families navigate difficult transitions and protect their legacies</li><li>Combines tenacious advocacy with diplomatic negotiation skills</li><li>Thinks quickly on their feet and adapts to changing circumstances</li><li>Builds strong client relationships while earning opposing counsel's respect</li><li>Treats all team members with respect and professionalism</li><li>Excited about growing litigation skills while making a meaningful impact</li></ul>Bonus Points:<ul><li>Board certification in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California</li><li>Bilingual in Spanish/English</li><li>Experience with MyCase, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office</li></ul>What We OfferMeaningful Work: Every case you handle directly impacts families during pivotal moments in their lives.
