JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities&middot; Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction.&middot; Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group or patients.&middot; Assists in the preparation for admission of patients.&middot; Assists in and accompanies patients in the admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.&middot; Provides general care, such as positioning patients, lifting and turning residents, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in use of bedpan or commode, and ambulating the patients.&middot; Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.&middot; Ensures patients are dressed properly and assists, as necessary.&middot; Ensures that used clothing is properly stored in bedside stand or on hangers in closet.&middot; Ensures that all patients are clean and dry at all times.&middot; Checks unit for adequate linen.&middot; Folds neatly and arranges linen in linen closet.&middot; Provides clean linen and clothing.&middot; Makes beds.&middot; Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords&middot; Following Infection and Control policies&middot; Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately&middot; Attending facility in-service training programs&middot; Follow infection control policies and procedures&middot; Completing other assignments when requested by management.Requirements&middot; Current California CPR certification&middot; Food Handler Certificate.
