Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dental Billing and Insurance Coordinator to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental billing, insurance claims processing, and dental office operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient billing procedures, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring accurate claim submissions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations within a dynamic dental practice dedicated to exceptional patient care.Duties<ul><li>Review and verify patient insurance information to confirm coverage details prior to treatment.</li><li>Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using appropriate CDT coding standards.</li><li>Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly, initiating appeals or resubmissions as necessary to secure payment.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure all documentation aligns with billing requirements and regulatory standards.</li><li>Collaborate with dental staff to clarify treatment plans and ensure proper coding for procedures performed.</li><li>Utilize electronic systems to manage billing data and track claim statuses.</li><li>Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges clearly while providing excellent customer service.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in medical billing, preferably within a dental or healthcare setting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental-specific coding systems such as CDT classifications, and dental terminology.</li><li>Familiarity with dental office operations, including insurance verification, claim submission, and collections processes.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle dental collections effectively while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple claims simultaneously.</li><li>Prior experience in dental records management and understanding of healthcare compliance standards is preferred.
