Main Purpose of Role:</b></div><div><b>
This role</b> is part of L&eacute;man Manhattan&rsquo;s vibrant, collaborative learning community, which delivers an engaging and academically rigorous program for all students.</div><div><br>

Key Responsibilities:</b></div><div><i>

Attend precamp meetings</div></li><li><div>
Provide ongoing supervision of campers under the direction of Head Counselor</div></li><li><div>
Help supervise daily arrival and dismissal of your campers, including monitoring of authorized pick up list</div></li><li><div>
Help create and maintain a positive group/classroom culture (ex: morning meetings &amp; closing circles, fun lineup procedures, call &amp; response cheers, cubby &amp; wall d&eacute;cor, etc); keep classroom orderly and respect the spaces you are using</div></li><li><div>
Accompany group to different activities and provide support as needed</div></li><li><div>
Help ensure that group is following their schedule appropriately and is punctual to activities</div></li><li><div>
Ensure that all camp safety protocols are being followed</div></li><li><div>
Help monitor dietary needs and other specific needs within your group</div></li><li><div>
Serve as a role model to the campers assigned to your group through your interactions with them and other staff, your language, general appearance and behavior</div></li><li><div>
Perform other tasks to support the program as assigned by Director/Assistant Director under direction of Head Counselor</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li><div>
High School diploma required; some college preferred</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
Experience:</b></div><ul><li><div>
At least 2 examples of experience working with children (includes babysitting, volunteer work, paid jobs, internships, etc)</div></li><li><div>
Experience working with the age group to which you are assigned</div></li><li><div>
Preferred that candidates have worked at and attended summer camp settings previously</div></li></ul></div></div><p></p>
