What Drives Success:
<p>
This technician performs field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Duties include, but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.</li><li>
Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians.</li><li>
Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
</li><li>Advises manager of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.</li><li>
Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as required.
</li></ul>What We Are Looking For:
<ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>
2 to 6 years hands on Commercial HVAC Experience</li><li>
EPA Certification- Type I &amp; Type II or Universal Required</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and acceptable driving record</li><li>
Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.</li><li>
Excellent Customer Service Skills</li><li>
Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills</li><li>
Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and self-schedule.</li><li>
Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.</li><li>
Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision.</li><li>

Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
Technicians install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial, rooftop HVAC units. This work is often done independently. As such, Technicians must be able to safely:</li><li>
Get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop &ndash; typically via fixed/extension ladder.</li><li>
Work at heights</li><li>
Load and unload tools/equipment from work van</li><li>
Lifting occasionally up to 75lbs.
</li><li>Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.</li><li>
Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.</li><li>
Climb ladder up to roof height.
</li><li>Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.</li><li>
Manual tandem lifting load up to 125 lbs</li></ul>

Compensation: </b>This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between <b>$39,000 &ndash; $77,000</b>. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).</div><div></div><div><b><br>

As a key member of the validation team, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of embedded HVAC controller systems. The role involves validating complex system interactions across hardware, firmware, and communication layers. Create and maintain test deliverables, including:

Test content such as manual and automated test cases for validating system functionality, performance, and reliability.</li><li>
Test execution schedules, ensuring all test activities are performed on time.</li><li>
Bug reports with detailed root cause analysis and actionable feedback for development teams.</li><li>
Test reports summarizing results, coverage, and overall system quality.</li></ul></li><li>
Execute validation activities across all stages of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), ensuring system compliance with functional, performance, and reliability requirements.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, hardware engineers, and product managers, to define test requirements, align on deliverables, and resolve issues.</li><li>
Develop and maintain automated test solutions to enhance coverage, efficiency, and repeatability of validation processes.</li><li>
Debug and troubleshoot complex interactions between hardware and software, utilizing tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.</li><li>
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in validation methodologies, tools, and processes to elevate quality standards.</li><li>
Ensure alignment with project schedules, consistently meeting deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.</li></ul><div>

Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li>
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system-level validation, ideally in embedded systems.</li><li><b>
Strong understanding of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and firmware development.</b></li><li>
Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces.</li><li>
Expertise in validation tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages <b><i>(Python preferred)</i></b>.</li><li>
Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, BLE.</li></ul><p><b><i>
Preferred:</i></b></p><ul><li>
Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and scripting languages like Python, bash, Rust.</li><li>

Controls Software Validation Engineer

Lennox AES</b> has an immediate position available for a <b>Commercial HVAC Technician</b>. HVAC Technicians travel nationally and work under the supervision of our HVAC Foremen. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial HVAC equipment servicing including rooftop units, adapter curbs, HVAC electrical knowledge and construction safety.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

<ul><li>HVAC Technician applicants must be certified and have 3-5 years experience in the trade working under the direction/supervision of a Master HVAC mechanic</li><li>

Ability to travel throughout the U.S. on 3 to 4 week deployment cycles</li><li>
Ability to work overtime hours when required</li><li>
