Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior Manager of Supplier Quality for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position involves leading a team in supplier evaluations, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement. The role contributes to the development of the Quality system and supports quality enhancement efforts. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate effectively with internal departments such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering. Responsibilities include developing and implementing plans to improve supplier performance. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and inspectors.</div></div></div><div><div><div><b>
Job Responsibilities</b></div>
</div><div><ul><li>Support the DRS Quality mission statement: &ldquo;Establish a culture of innovation within DRS Quality teams, championing the deployment of superior processes in lieu of traditional inspection activities and ensuring the delivery of continuously improving value and compliance to our customers and business units&rdquo;</li>
<li>Provide quality leadership to direct reports peers and superiors in support of the DRS mission</li>
<li>Staff, train, equip, and direct the activities of quality assurance personnel including quality engineers, inspectors, and auditors</li>
<li>Identify and justify capital equipment and/or technology improvements</li>
<li>Maintain, execute, and improve the quality management system using departmental and company resources</li>
<li>Review status of quality management system, developing and implementing actions to improve Report on the results of these actions</li>
<li>Manage all ERP related quality systems/modules. Use data to drive improvement through disciplined metrics management and team projects</li>
<li>Perform direct coordination with customer and suppliers during early planning phases of development and production programs</li>
<li>Perform functions of Lead Auditor Plan and conduct internal company audits including management of corrective action process</li>
<li>Manage direct and indirect budgets and department expenses</li>
<li>Develop and review quality assurance cost estimates in support of proposal efforts</li>
<li>May specialize in distinct Quality functions such as Supplier Quality, but ideally will prove competency in all Quality functions</li>
<li>Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission values and culture of the organization</li>
<li>Assist in the development and approval of the Standard Operating procedures (SOP)</li>

</div><div><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>At least 7 years of relevant experience</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing direct reports</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills</li>
<li>Ability to lead effective corrective action using disciplined problem solving methods and statistical analysis</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001-2008 Standards</li>
<li>ISO Lead Auditor experience desired; certification preferred Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired</li>
<li>ASQ certification desired</li><br>

<li>Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations</li>
