Quality Inspector / Floor Inspector &ndash; ManufacturingWe are seeking a Quality Inspector / Floor Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Waterford, Michigan. This role is responsible for performing in-process inspections throughout production to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring instruments and performing dimensional inspections in a manufacturing environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform hourly in-process inspections on active production jobs</li><li>Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, ring gauges, plug gauges, and other precision measuring tools</li><li>Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects or nonconforming parts</li><li>Immediately notify production operators when quality issues are detected</li><li>Record inspection results in electronic quality systems</li><li>Maintain inspection documentation and scan records into the CEBOS system</li><li>Quarantine and properly label nonconforming material both physically and in the MRP system</li><li>Provide gauges and inspection tools to production personnel as needed</li><li>Obtain and maintain required manufacturing and quality documentation</li><li>Support additional Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities as needed</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience using precision measurement tools, including:</li><li>Micrometers</li><li>Calipers</li><li>Ring gauges</li><li>Plug gauges</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with Optical Comparator (shadow graph)</li><li>Experience using hardness testing equipment</li><li>Experience with plating thickness gauges</li><li>Experience operating ECM inspection machines</li><li>Ability to read and interpret part drawings or blueprints</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong visual inspection and quality control skills</li><li>Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office &ndash; Word, Excel, Email)</li><li>Strong teamwork and communication abilities</li><li>Commitment to quality standards and workplace safety</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Ability to sit or stand for up to 10 hours per shift</li><li>Work performed in both production floor and quality lab environments</li><li>Approximately 75% production floor inspections and 25% lab inspections</li><li>Manufacturing areas may be non-air-conditioned</li><li>Minimal lifting required (under 20 lbs)</li></ul>Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
