Position Overview</b></h2><p>
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the <b>Human Resources Generalist</b> provides hands-on support in key areas including <b>benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and daily HR operations.</b></p><p>
This position serves as a resource for employees and managers while helping Lewis Automotive Group attract, support, and retain great employees.</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Do</b></h1><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Benefits &amp; Employee Support</b></h2><ul><li>
Assist with employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits.</li><li>
Help employees navigate benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit-related questions.</li><li>
Support annual open enrollment communications and activities.</li><li>
Work with benefit providers and internal teams to assist with accurate benefit administration.</li><li>
Assist with benefit reviews, payroll deduction audits, and compliance requirements.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Recruiting &amp; Talent Acquisition</b></h2><ul><li>
Support recruiting efforts for positions across our dealerships, including sales, service, parts, collision, administrative, and leadership roles.</li><li>
Create job postings, review applications, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.</li><li>
Partner with managers to understand staffing needs and assist with hiring efforts.</li><li>
Support a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.</li><li>
Assist with pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle reports.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
New Hire Experience &amp; HR Operations</b></h2><ul><li>
Help create a welcoming and organized onboarding experience for new employees.</li><li>
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of required employment documentation.</li><li>
Assist with HRIS setup, employee records, benefit enrollment, and required acknowledgments.</li><li>
Maintain accurate employee information within Paycom and other HR systems.</li><li>
Assist with HR reporting, compliance activities, employee communications, and special projects.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Employee Relations Support</b></h2><ul><li>
Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and general workplace questions.</li><li>
Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, coaching conversations, and workplace concerns.</li><li>
Support employee engagement efforts and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What We&rsquo;re Looking For</b></h1><ul><li>
2+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.</li><li>
Experience supporting employee benefits administration, recruiting, and onboarding processes.</li><li>
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, and leadership.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.</li><li>
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.</li><li>
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative HR team.</li><li>
Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of employment practices and HR best practices.</li><li>
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other HR certification preferred.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Required Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
2+ years of Human Resources experience preferred, with exposure to benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, and employee support.</li><li>
Experience supporting employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.</li><li>
Experience assisting with recruiting processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.</li><li>
Working knowledge of HR practices, employment guidelines, and workplace compliance requirements.</li><li>
Experience providing employee support and assisting with workplace concerns, documentation, and employee relations matters.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information appropriately.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, leadership, vendors, and benefit providers.</li><li>
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use good judgment and maintain professionalism.</li><li>
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.</li><li>
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative Human Resources team.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>
HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or willingness to pursue certification.</li><li>
Experience supporting HR functions within a multi-location organization.</li><li>
Experience with Paycom or similar HR/payroll systems.</li><li>
Experience assisting with annual open enrollment, benefit communications, and employee benefit questions.</li><li>
Experience recruiting for a variety of positions, including sales, service, technical, administrative, or leadership roles.</li><li>
Previous experience in automotive, retail, manufacturing, or other fast-paced service industries.</li><li>
Experience creating employee communications, HR documents, training materials, or process improvements.</li><li>
Ability to prepare HR reports, maintain records, and assist with HR audits.</li><li>
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers&rsquo; compensation, unemployment, and other HR-related processes.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
