The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is committed to client service and firmwide collaboration.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage a full caseload in your assigned practice area.</li><li>Serve as lead or supporting counsel in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials.</li><li>Develop case strategy and communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.</li><li>Supervise and collaborate with assigned case managers and legal assistants.</li><li>Maintain thorough documentation in MyCase, including all communications, tasks, and deadlines.</li><li>Participate in department meetings and contribute to team-wide strategy discussions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with firm procedures, including confidentiality, ethics, and trust account rules.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>J.D. from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active license to practice law in North Carolina (in good standing).</li><li>Experience preferred, but recent graduates with strong advocacy skills are encouraged to apply.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Professional demeanor in all interactions&mdash;with clients, colleagues, and courts.</li></ul>Work Environment:Ley Law operates primarily in-office to maintain collaboration, accountability, and client service excellence. Attorneys are expected to appear in court regularly and work within their assigned territorial offices.
