<ul><li>Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall service satisfaction</li><li>Conduct routine venipuncture for plasmapheresis and collect donor samples</li><li>Respond and assist with donor reactions during the donation process</li><li>Monitor collection equipment to facilitate the health and safety of the donors</li><li>Set up, disconnect, and operate the plasmapheresis machine to include; troubleshooting, documentation, and evaluation of any message displays</li><li>Disconnect donors by removing the needle from the venipuncture site and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment into a biohazard container</li><li>Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of plasma autopheresis machines to include; daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance of all equipment in the donor floor area</li><li>Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness in between donors</li><li>Responsible for accurate documentation of collection records</li><li>Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future</li><li>Maintain an open line of communication with Management</li><li>Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendors</li><li>Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner</li><li>Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Qualifications<br>
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Minimum one (1) year work experience preferred</li><li>License or certification where required by state</li></ul></div><div>

Phlebotomist

<div>Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

<ul><li>Greet and register new plasma donors into the donor management computer system</li><li>Conduct screening procedures to include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and arm checks</li><li>Perform finger sticks to test donors for hematocrit testing and total protein testing utilizing screening equipment. Monitor the electronic donor questionnaire system</li><li>Determine donor eligibility by performing donor eligibility assessments, to include; medical history interview, physical examination, educating donor on donor testing, HIV/AIDS virus, donation risks, informed consent, confidential self-exclusion, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) testing as necessary</li><li>Provide counseling to Donors regarding unacceptable test results</li><li>Initiate and assist in donor investigations regarding Post Donation Information</li><li>Evaluate and attend to donor adverse events during the donation process</li><li>Follow all standard operating procedures for all medical emergencies, to include communication with the Center Medical Director and donor transport to emergency medical care facilities. Communicate and seek direction from Center Medical Director and Center Management as necessary</li><li>Learn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company Procedures</li><li>Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future</li><li>Maintain an open line of communication with Management</li><li>Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendors</li><li>Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner</li><li>Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
