Are you an experienced refinery operations leader ready to take ownership of performance, reliability, and operational excellence in a major downstream environment?
We are supporting a leading industrial services organization operating inside a world-class integrated refinery complex in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a technically solid and operationally disciplined Operation Superintendent to oversee refinery operations support and ensure alignment with safety, reliability, and profitability priorities.
This is a strategic, high-responsibility role within a performance-driven and safety-critical environment.
Role Overview
The Operation Superintendent will:<ul><li>Ensure efficient and cost-effective refinery operations</li><li>Supervise daily operational activities in line with client standards</li><li>Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures</li><li>Drive operational performance, reliability, and process optimization</li><li>Support startup, shutdown, and ongoing operational execution</li><li>Lead and develop operation staff</li><li>Interface with client stakeholders to ensure operational alignment</li></ul>
This role requires strong operational discipline and hands-on refinery experience.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:<ul><li>Minimum 12+ years of total experience, with at least 10 years in refinery operations</li><li>Minimum 5 years of direct experience in refinery operations, including sulfur handling systems</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering</li><li>Minimum 7 years in managerial/supervisory positions</li><li>Strong understanding of petroleum operations and refinery process units</li><li>Fluent in English (oral and written)</li><li>Strong leadership and team supervision experience</li></ul>
Professional certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) are considered a plus.

Your Mission
As Site Manager, you will:<ul><li>
Lead full maintenance oversight across assigned plant areas</li><li>
Drive reliability performance and maintenance KPIs</li><li>
Ensure strict compliance with HSE and corporate safety standards</li><li>
Govern contractor performance, claims, change orders, and invoice approvals</li><li>
Provide contractual and operational checks &amp; balances</li><li>
Resolve technical and commercial disputes with mature leadership</li><li>
Strengthen technical capability through workforce development</li></ul>
This is a high-accountability leadership role requiring strategic vision combined with strong technical authority.
Ideal Profile<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical)</li><li>
Minimum 15+ years of solid refinery and/or petrochemical maintenance experience, with strong technical expertise in maintenance engineering, asset reliability, integrity systems, and shutdown/turnaround environments</li><li>
Demonstrated expertise in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies</li><li>
Strong hands-on knowledge of CMMS systems, RCM methodologies, and performance optimization</li><li>
Proven leadership of large multidisciplinary maintenance teams</li><li>
Strong commercial and contractual governance experience</li><li>
Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, multicultural industrial environments</li></ul>
