Purpose</h2></div><div>
Under direct supendsion, performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction; maintenance and repair ofwater distribution systems and related facilities.Answers public inquiries and complaints in a tactful and courteous manner. Assist Operator III as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities</h2></div><div><ul><li>
Ability to read a meter accurately 
Performs leak repairs, maintains mains, fire hydrants, installation of new sendees, 
setting meters, changing out meters, and repairs services 
Keeps the direct Supervisor aware of all field customer service problems and needs 
Uses PC tablets for field service applications to process seiwice orders, etc 
PerfoiTns minor seiwice repairs 
Works delinquent disconnects and reconnects as assigned 
Resets meters as needed or instructed 
Assists in the replacement of meters and registers 
Assists in the preparation and completion of service orders and other paperwork 
Operates various hand and power tools and mechanical equipment while installing, operating, and 
repairing mains, services, meters, valves, and fire hydrants 
Helps install, tap, re-line, disinfect, test, and comiect water mains and appurtenances 
Repairs, disinfects, and tests broken water mains 
Assists in setting up work area traffic controls 
Assists in making field and job-related decisions using Company policies and procedures 
Reports and communicates to his or her supervisor all daily activities, needed repairs, hazards, 
challenges, needs, etc 
Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor, 
EHS Manager, and/or Human Resources 
Maintains and accounts for all tools and equipment and assigned vehicles 
Responsible for keeping crew truck clean and orderly 
Attends and participates in weekly safety meetings 
Perfonns all work duties in a safe manner in compliance with Liberty Utilities 
Water safety program 
Perfonns various other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Managers or Distribution 
Supervisor or, in his absence, the Operator III</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Education and Experience</h2></div><div><ul><li>
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) 
Must have a valid California driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record: 
Class A driver&rsquo;s license desired (location specific) 
Must possess a Grade 1 Water Distribution Certificate issued by the SWRCB DDW. T1 Treatment 
Certificate is desirable 
Be able to gain proficiency in basic construction and maintenance methods and procedures of a water 
utility 
Be able to comprehend the use and functions of the (C.I.S.) Customer Infonnation System Program. 
Must be able to work independently and responsibly with direct supervision 
Must have basic computer skills, including PC Windows operations knowledge and experience with 
communication devices 
Able to follow Company rules, procedures, and directions from a supervisor and/or Management 
Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work 
This includes, but is not limited to, those to whom the position reports to, supervisors, coworkers, 
public, vendors, contractors, etc 
Be able to exercise independent judgment, discretion, professionalism, and tact in all areas of work 
including matters of a sensitive and/or confidential manner 
Must maintain a professional appearance as a front-line representative of the Company 
Be able to travel occasionally 
Must be able to perform a wide range of physically strenuous tasks 
Obtains CPR and First Aid training 
Must be able to work standby, holidays, weekends or overtime as required 
A person in this position must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both 
orally and in writing, with internal and external customers, under normal and adverse conditions</li></ul></div></div></div>
