This paid position provides a platform to develop your legal career while contributing meaningfully to our firm's success.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist attorneys in preparing for litigation by organizing case files, drafting legal documents, and managing deadlines using document management systems such as Mycase.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies across diverse areas.</li><li>Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and pleadings for accuracy and compliance; perform proofreading and transcription tasks as needed.</li><li>Manage case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documentation is properly filed, organized, and easily accessible for attorneys and staff.</li><li>Support project management efforts by coordinating interviews, client meetings, court filings, and document review processes efficiently.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with clients through professional phone etiquette; prepare summaries of case developments for attorney review.</li><li>Provide administrative support such as data entry, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and supporting the overall workflow of the law office.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support in personal injury.</li><li>Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems like Mycase.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.</li><li>Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all materials.</li><li>Experience with legal administrative tasks including filing (both electronic and paper), data entry, and document review.</li><li>Knowledge of project management principles within a law office setting; ability to coordinate interviews and client communications effectively.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills; professional phone etiquette is essential.
