Job Summary</b></div><div>
The Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a single Liberty Tax office within the Managed Operations structure. This role provides leadership to office staff, ensures compliance with company procedures, drives operational performance, and delivers exceptional customer service. The Office Supervisor acts as a key liaison between the tax office and Regional Leadership.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Responsibilities/Duties</b></div><div><b>
Office Management:</b></div><ul><li>
Manage day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring effective workflow and a professional environment.</li><li>
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supervision of office employees including Tax Preparers and administrative personnel.</li><li>
Monitor and report office performance metrics, addressing any operational issues.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Customer Service</b>:</div><ul><li>
Ensure delivery of exceptional client service throughout the tax season.</li><li>
Serve as the main point of contact for client concerns, resolving issues quickly and professionally.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, welcoming office environment that promotes positive customer experience.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Compliance and Accuracy:</b></div><ul><li>
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.</li><li>
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to tax operations.</li><li>
Monitor return preparation accuracy and assist staff with technical or compliance-related questions.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Staff Leadership and Development:</b></div><ul><li>
Lead recruitment and onboarding of seasonal staff.</li><li>
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to all office employees.</li><li>
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Marketing and Community Engagement:</b></div><ul><li>
Execute local marketing strategies to promote office visibility and drive business growth.</li><li>
Participate in outreach initiatives to attract new clients and build brand awareness.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Documentation and Reporting:</b></div><ul><li>
Ensure completion and submission of daily operational reports.</li><li>
Maintain organized and accurate documentation for client files, employee schedules, and performance metrics.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
Strong leadership and organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.</li><li>
Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage staff performance effectively.</li><li>
Must have PTIN or eligible to receive</li><li>
Minimum 3 years previous tax preparation experience is preferred</li><li>
Upon hire, must be able to obtain CTEC Certification through the State of California using the hiring parameters below</li></ul><ul><li>
If hired prior to December 16th, must obtain CTEC Certification prior to January 1st</li><li>
If hires after December 16th, must obtain CTEC Certification within 2 weeks of employment</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Education and Experience</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of 1-2 years of office management or supervisory experience.</li><li>
Prior tax preparation or financial services experience is a plus.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical Requirements</b></div><div>
Position requires working at a desk or in an office environment for extended periods. May require occasional lifting of supplies up to 25 pounds. Position may also require standing and walking for short periods. Must be able to work evenings and weekends during peak season.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
