JOB SUMMARY</b></p><p>
Serve as LifeLinc&rsquo;s On-Site Anesthesiologist for a wide range of duties including administrative duties and clinical duties. This is a 1099 independent contractor position.</p><div></div><div><b><br>
About the Facility:</b> East Memphis Surgery Center in Memphis, TN was designed with one objective: to give each patient the ultimate experience in same day surgical procedures with unrivaled quality of care. The facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to perform a number of procedures. This facility performs general, regional, spinal, and local anesthesia cases. This is an independent practice model staffed with 1 anesthesiologist daily, and 3-5 CRNAs daily Monday through Friday.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Schedule:</b> Monday &ndash; Friday (No call, no nights, no weekends)</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Case Mix: </b>ENT, General, Urology, Podiatry, GI, Plastics, Ortho, GYN, Vascular</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Call Requirements: </b>There are no call requirements for this position.</div><div><b><br>
Malpractice</b><br>

Responsibilities:

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br>

CLINICAL DUTIES</b></p><ul><li>
Ensure the availability of adequate anesthesia staffing to provide clinical, medical, and administrative leadership support throughout the organization.</li><li>
Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures.</li><li>
Inform students and staff of types and methods of anesthesia administration, signs of complications, and emergency methods to counteract reactions.</li><li>
Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment.</li><li>
Provides clinical support and patient care to assist the anesthesia team as applicable.</li><li>
Maintain current policies and procedures set forth by LifeLinc and propose new and efficient policies when applicable.</li><li>
Perform clinical reviews and audits on all clinical services provided by other practitioners employed by LifeLinc as applicable.</li><li>
Responsible for training and oversight of all clinical staff and personnel as applicable.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
LANGUAGE SKILLS</b></p><ul><li>
Must be able to read and write English.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, patients, patient's family and other employees of organization.</li><li>
Able to work in a team-oriented environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
REASONING ABILITY</b></p><ul><li>
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Ensures and adheres to strict confidentiality when handling patient information, according to the HIPAA Privacy Act and hospital policy and procedure regarding confidentiality.</li><li>
Complies with all information security practices.</li><li>
Has knowledge of and adheres to all compliance regulations, policies and procedures.</li><li>
Takes annual HIPAA compliance exam.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p></p><p><b><br>
Education and experience equivalent to:</b></p><p>
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine in anesthesia with a current license in good standing to practice in the state in which you are located.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul><li>
ACLS/BLS/PALS Certification</li><li>
Comfortable practicing in a care team model</li></ul></div>
