<div><div>Job Purpose:<br>
<ul><li>The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients within the facility. This role requires a dedicated and compassionate individual who can work in a pool capacity, offering flexible support to various departments as needed. The LPN will utilize their extensive experience to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient patient care while adhering to established protocols and standards.</li></ul><br>
Key Responsibilities:<br>
<ul><li>Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.</li><li>Monitor patient health by assessing vital signs and reporting any changes in condition to the healthcare team.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.</li><li>Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily activities and personal hygiene.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.</li><li>Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive measures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.</li><li>Support a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.</li></ul></div><div>
Required Education:<br>
<ul><li>Completion of a state-approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.</li><li>Current LPN license in the state of practice.</li></ul><br>
Required Experience:<br>
<ul><li>Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health or similar healthcare setting.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in providing nursing care and administering medications to patients with mental health conditions.</li><li>Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.</li></ul><br>
Required Skills and Abilities:<br>
<ul><li>Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and the ability to apply them in a clinical setting.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.</li><li>Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.</li><li>Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare-related software.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.</li><li>Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a commitment to enhancing patient well-being.</li></ul></div><p>

LPN (6+) - POOL

<div><div>Job Purpose:<br>
<ul><li>The RN position is integral to the efficient functioning of the assigned Unit. They will, by virtue of their role, be responsible for providing professional psychiatric nursing care, via their own task functions and supervision of the task of other nursing personnel on their shift. Ensures all members of his/her team provide quality and effective nursing care.</li></ul></div><div><br>
Key Responsibilities:<br>
<ul><li>Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health status.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.</li><li>Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint and verbal de-escalation training</li><li>Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures.</li><li>Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.</li><li>Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.</li><li>Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.</li><li>Participate in shift handovers, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication between shifts.</li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.</li><li>Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing appropriate interventions and support.</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health nursing.</li></ul></div><div>
Required Education:<br>
<ul><li>Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required</li><li>Meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse required</li></ul><br>
Required Experience:<br>
<ul><li>0-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting</li></ul><br>
Required Skills and Abilities:<br>
<ul><li>Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer applications</li><li>Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively</li></ul></div><p>
