Hiring Range: $123,056 to $144,771
New hires are placed within the preferred hiring range, based on their qualifications, experience, and alignment with the internal equity of existing staff members. POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of Linc Housing&rsquo;s Executive Vice President and in collaboration with the Executive Team, leads the company&rsquo;s philanthropic giving and public engagement strategy by cultivating and stewarding donors, leading grant strategy and campaign implementation, and developing strategic partnerships including PRIs and mission-related investing. The role also coordinates communication and public relations activities that strengthen Linc&rsquo;s relationships with funders, business partners, and the broader community in support of the organization&rsquo;s mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul><li>Supervises staff, consultants, interns, and volunteers in projects engaged in fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship, grant development, and communications/PR activities that support Linc&rsquo;s mission.</li><li>
Prepares and manages departmental budget(s) and grant/donation revenue forecasting in collaboration with executive leadership and accounting staff, ensuring fundraising and philanthropic performance targets are met.
</li><li>Ensures fundraising, donor engagement, and communications activities align with Linc Housing&rsquo;s strategic plan and long-term financial sustainability goals.</li><li>
Represents Linc in meetings and events with foundations, institutional funders, public agencies, media partners and individual donors to advance organizational and business development objectives.
</li><li>Supports senior leadership in managing Linc&rsquo;s Board of Directors&rsquo; External Relations committee.
</li><li>Supports all Linc departments through oversight of:
<ul><li>Targeted grant production for general corporate and specific departmental needs for Housing Development, Asset Management, and Services
</li><li>Impact &amp; community strategy storytelling with corporate leadership and Services
</li><li>Maintain interdepartmental event supply management protocol
</li></ul></li><li>Leads Linc Housing&rsquo;s philanthropic giving and engagement strategy, including grants, major gifts, individual giving, and donor stewardship, in collaboration with executive leadership.</li></ul><ul><li>
Oversees the development and management of strategic philanthropic and corporate partnerships, including program-related investments, mission-related investing, and other corporate sponsorships/partnerships, in coordination with executive team and departmental leadership.
</li><li>Prepares and delivers presentations and materials for executive leadership, the Board, funders, media partners, and external stakeholders related to fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and organizational impact.</li><li>
Provides strategic oversight of Linc&rsquo;s communications and public relations initiatives and tools, including website, newsletters, digital communications, and media engagement, ensuring content supports donor engagement/stewardship, corporate branding/positioning, and business development.</li><li>
Oversees donor-, funder-, and media-facing events and site visits, including groundbreakings, grand openings, tours, and briefings.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES
Knowledge Of:
<ul><li>Strategic writing, editing and storytelling for donor communications, grant proposals, and public-facing content that supports philanthropic engagement and corporate branding/media relations
</li><li>Elements of program design and management for grant strategy and philanthropic impact</li><li>
Budgeting and revenue forecasting for fundraising/capital campaigns</li><li>
Prospect research and due diligence methods for foundations, institutional giving, corporate partners and individual donors</li><li>
Social services and community need for affordable housing and special needs populations
</li><li>Terminology and best practices for grant strategy, proposal development, evaluation, and donor stewardship</li></ul>
Skill Level:
<ul><li>Superior writing and communication skills, especially for donor/philanthropic cultivation and public-facing communications
</li><li>Strong analytical skills for interpreting prospect research, fundraising performance data, and financial information to inform philanthropic strategy
</li><li>Experienced at understanding and applying specific knowledge and methodology in grant proposal writing</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with donors, foundation executives, corporate managers, volunteers, and the general public</li></ul>
Ability To:
<ul><li>Perform prospecting research and due diligence using online databases and other tools to identify, evaluate and manage foundations and donors
</li><li>Develop and manage departmental budgets and fundraising targets/campaigns
</li><li>Efficiently organize complex information and impact information to use in grant proposals, impact reports, and donor briefings</li><li>
Creatively integrate and present information in compelling formats for funders, board members, and the general public</li><li>
Work in a creative team environment
</li><li>Provide creative input to varying projects in a multi-faceted department

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE
A combination of education and related experience may substitute for education requirements
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nonprofit management, communications, political science, public policy, or related field; master&rsquo;s degree a plus
</li><li>7 years&rsquo; progressive experience in philanthropic fundraising, donor cultivation, and related aspects on nonprofit communications/public relations (5 years with master&rsquo;s degree)
</li><li>2 year experience supervising and leading teams engaged in fundraising functions</li></ul>
