Your Mission

This role follows a Monday through Thursday in-office schedule at our San Francisco headquarters, with Fridays designated as a remote workday. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately six (6) months, based on current business needs. Employment is at-will, and the assignment may be adjusted, extended, or concluded earlier at any time depending on business conditions and individual performance.

We're looking for a temporary Senior Data Analyst to own complex, high-impact problem spaces and data-driven reasoning to drive measurable business outcomes. You'll translate defined business problems into clear analytical strategies, delivering insights that shape product direction, operational strategy, and financial performance.

In this role, you'll partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing to align on metrics, influence decision-making, and prioritize investments. You'll also help elevate analytical standards by improving data quality, mentoring others, and driving best practices across the team.

This is a temporary independent contributor role, reporting to the Director, Strategic Insights, focused on advanced analytics and generating strategic insights across product, operational, and financial domains.

You will lead end-to-end analytical initiatives, including defining success metrics, designing experiments, building models, and delivering insights that inform key business decisions. Operating at the intersection of product analytics, business strategy, and data modeling, working across domains such as user behavior, monetization, retention, and financial performance to provide a holistic view of the business.

How You'll Shape Our Future

<li>5&ndash;8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data science, or a related field.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.</li>

<li>Deep understanding of statistical methods, including experimentation design, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.</li>
<li>Proven ability to independently structure and solve ambiguous business problems with limited guidance.</li>
<li>Experience leading cross-functional analytical projects and influencing stakeholders across multiple teams.</li>
<li>Strong data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes.</li>
<li>Experience mentoring and developing junior analysts, providing guidance on analytical approaches and best practices.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance practices.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multi-week analytical projects independently, including planning, execution, and delivery.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to make tradeoffs between speed and rigor, balancing immediate insights with long-term analytical integrity.</li></ul>

The Fine Print

Pay Transparency Notice

Linden Lab's Total Rewards philosophy is rooted in fairness, equity, and an unbiased approach to compensation, paired with competitive benefits across all locations where we operate.

For this San Francisco Bay Area-based role, the hourly rate is $70 per hour. This represents the amount the company reasonably expects to pay upon hire.

Base salary is the only form of cash compensation for this role; it does not include variable or bonus pay. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible to be considered for awards under our Equity Incentive Plan (EIP) and receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans. Our talent partners will provide more details during the hiring process.
