Job Summary:
Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for field welding to include line boring services (where applicable)</li><li>Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures utilizing oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques</li><li>Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools</li><li>Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding projects</li><li>Estimates material and labor</li><li>Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered</li><li>Other functions and responsibilities as requested by management</li></ul>
Education/Experience/Skill:<ul><li>Must have prior welding experience</li><li>Knowledge of applicable codes</li><li>Proficient in welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric car, and TIG), tools and equipment</li><li>Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures</li><li>Must have LINE boring experience</li><li>
MUST HAVE CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement</li></ul>

Work Environment:<ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.</li></ul>
