The Electrician must adhere to safety protocols, troubleshoot electrical issues, and collaborate with other team members to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.</p><p>
Essential duties include:</p><ul><li>
Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with mining regulations and safety standards.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.</li><li>
Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement appropriate solutions promptly to prevent disruptions to mining activities.</li><li>
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards related to electrical work.</li><li>
Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards governing electrical work in mining environments.</li><li>
Collaborate with other mining personnel, including engineers, technicians, and supervisors, to coordinate electrical work and support overall mining operations.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and address emergent issues promptly.</li><li>
Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members regarding electrical systems and equipment.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.</li><li>
Generate reports detailing electrical maintenance tasks, findings, and recommendations for improvement.</li><li>
Document equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to facilitate troubleshooting and future maintenance.</li></ul><p>

SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE</b></h1><p>
Specific skills and experience are as follows:</p><ul><li>
Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program and journeyman electrician certification/license required.</li><li>
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as a journeyman electrician in an industrial setting.</li><li>
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.</li><li>
Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and diagnosing faults.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>
Effectively manage tasks and responsibilities without direct oversight</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.</li><li>

JOB DESCRIPTION</b></h1><p>
The Electrical Apprentice supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across Linkan&rsquo;s project sites and client facilities. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician, this role provides hands-on experience in industrial and mining environments, emphasizing safety, technical skill development, and adherence to applicable electrical codes and company standards.</p><p>
The Electrical Apprentice plays an essential role in ensuring reliable operations, learning the trade through practical application, and contributing to the safe and efficient execution of electrical work within Linkan&rsquo;s projects.</p><p>
Essential duties include:</p><div><ul><li>
Assist in the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems and components in compliance with state, federal, and mining safety regulations.</li><li>
Support preventative maintenance tasks, including equipment checks, cleaning, and minor repairs under supervision.</li><li>
Help troubleshoot electrical issues by gathering information, preparing tools and materials, and assisting senior electricians in diagnostics and repairs.</li><li>
Follow all safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain a hazard-free work environment.</li><li>
Participate in daily tailgate meetings and follow direction from supervisors to coordinate tasks safely and efficiently.</li><li>
Learn to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand layout and design.</li><li>
Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and tools.</li><li>
Assist with documentation of maintenance activities, including inspection reports and work logs.</li><li>
Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and maintained.</li><li>
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and completion of the formal apprenticeship program.</li></ul></div><p>
