About the Role: 
LiquidPiston is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and proactive Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff to support the CEO. This role is a unique blend of high-level executive support, operational leadership, and strategic execution. You will act as a trusted advisor and right hand to the CEO, helping drive company priorities, manage critical initiatives, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, engineering-driven environment. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Executive Support &amp; Administration<ul><li>
Manage and optimize the CEO&rsquo;s complex calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
</li><li>Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agendas, materials, and follow-ups
</li><li>Arrange detailed domestic and international travel, including itineraries and logistics
</li><li>Draft, review, and manage correspondence on behalf of the CEO
</li><li>Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion
</li></ul>Strategic Partnership &amp; Execution<ul><li>
Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on company priorities, strategy, and decision-making
</li><li>Track and drive execution of key initiatives, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
</li><li>Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and board materials
</li><li>Conduct research, data analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions
</li><li>Assist in shaping internal communications and company messaging
</li></ul>Cross-Functional Leadership &amp; Communication<ul><li>
Serve as a bridge between the CEO and the broader organization by providing insight into team dynamics, communicating key initiatives from the executive team, and supporting alignment across departments.
</li><li>Ensure alignment and communication across engineering, operations, finance, and business teams
</li><li>Support leadership meetings, including agenda development, note-taking, and action tracking
</li><li>Help cascade strategic priorities across the organization
</li></ul>Project &amp; Program Management<ul><li>
Lead and manage special projects on behalf of the CEO from conception through execution
</li><li>Develop project plans, timelines, and success metrics
</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive results and remove blockers
</li><li>Monitor progress and provide regular updates to leadership
</li></ul>Operational Effectiveness<ul><li>
Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement process improvements
</li><li>Help establish and maintain operating rhythms (OKRs, KPIs, reporting cadences)
</li><li>Support budgeting, expense tracking, and vendor coordination as needed
</li><li>Assist in scaling internal processes as the company grows
</li></ul>Board &amp; Investor Relations Support<ul><li>
Coordinate board meetings, including logistics, materials, and follow-ups
</li><li>Support preparation of investor updates and communications
</li><li>Maintain organized records of board documents and governance materials
</li></ul>Culture &amp; Team Support<ul><li>
Help foster a strong, positive company culture aligned with leadership values
</li><li>Support company-wide initiatives, events, and offsites
</li><li>Act as a cultural ambassador and trusted resource across teams
</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>
5+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, or experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or operations role
</li><li>Experience in a startup, manufacturing, defense, or engineering-focused environment strongly preferred
</li><li>Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities
</li><li>Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
</li><li>Highly proactive with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
