Our Staff Accountant will be responsible for all tasks and responsibilities with AR, AP, Bank Reconciliations, Account Reconciliations, Worker's Compensation Accruals, Sales Tax reconciliations, payroll...etc.We are a local retail company and have 2 additional full-time accounting support staff for many day-to-day operations<ul><li>Experience with Quickbooks and Great Plains software preferred.</li><li>Experienced with Word and Excel</li><li>Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.</li><li>Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.</li><li>Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.</li><li>Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.</li><li>Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.</li><li>Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with GAAP</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.</li><li>2+ years of accounting experience.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Working knowledge of GAAP.</li><li>Strong numeracy and analytical skills.</li><li>Good problem-solving and time management skills.</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented.</li></ul>Job Types: Part-time, Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Physical Setting:<ul><li>Office</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Supplemental Pay:<ul><li>Bonus pay</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CPA (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
