PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT NEEDEDThe law firm of Logan-Thompson is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant for immediate employment.Job Description-The paralegal/legal assistants in our firm work closely with the attorneys as they manage their caseload. Duties include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Responding to inquiries, both written and via phone, schedule appointments and maintain the attorney&rsquo;s calendar.</li><li>Opening new cases, keeping case files organized both physically and electronically, monitoring calendars and deadlines, documenting actions, inputting information into case management software, and reviewing case status with the managing attorney.</li><li>Maintaining contact with clients and other individuals involved in a case, scheduling depositions and mediations, drafting pleadings, preparing summonses and subpoenas, preparing and filing discovery requests and other litigation documents, drafting correspondence, and responding to emails.</li><li>Ordering and reviewing medical records and billing related to a case, posting and billing expenses related to a case, preparing documentation for settlement, and writing settlement checks.</li><li>Assist attorney with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing pleadings related to trial and scheduling witnesses.</li></ul>Candidate Requirements2-4 year or work experience degree in paralegal and/or legal assistant studies preferredProficient with Microsoft OfficeDependable and reliable with strong communication and organizational skillsImpeccable integrity in dealing with confidential mattersAttention to detailAbility to work independentlyJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Cleveland, TN 37311 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Cleveland, TN 37311: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
