<div><b>Job Summary:
</b></div><div>The Sr. Sourcing Heavy Haul Specialist plays a critical role in leading the full lifecycle of quoting, supplier strategy, and project transition focusing on Heavy Haul. Acting as a strategic partner to both Business Development and supplier networks, this role is responsible for developing high-impact, market-competitive proposals and ensuring operational readiness for successful project execution. The Sr. Heavy Haul Sourcing Specialist is expected to exercise a high degree of autonomy, provide strategic insights, and continuously evolve sourcing methodologies to drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, and long-term organizational growth.</div>
<div><b>Duties/Responsibilities:</b></div>
<div>Participate in all activities in the RFQ process across multiple industries, modes and multiple business activities:</div>
<ul><li>Lead end-to-end RFQ processes for Heavy Haul transportation across various industries and project types.</li>
<li>Receive and review RFQ requests from Business Development; clarify project requirements with internal teams and customers.</li>
<li>Develop strategic sourcing plans using historical data, supplier insights, and market intelligence.</li>
<li>Run bids from initiation through execution, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance.</li>
<li>Prepare and distribute RFQ documents; respond to supplier inquiries and requirement clarifications.</li>
<li>Apply strategic and creative procurement approaches to complex projects.</li>
<li>Evaluate pricing and service proposals to support supplier selection decisions.</li>
<li>Present sourcing analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.</li>
<li>Prepare customer-ready proposal documentation.</li>
<li>Provide leadership and coaching to team members as needed.</li>
</ul><div><i>RFQs/proposals for operational activities upon project award:</i></div>
<ul><li>Issue supplier award notifications and confirm final pricing.</li>
<li>Support sourcing activities in response to scope changes.</li>
<li>Engage in project closeout, post-project reviews, and lessons-learned activities.</li>
</ul><div><i>Supplier Relationship Management:</i></div>
<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance project success and future opportunities.</li>
<li>Participate in the supplier onboarding and qualification process.</li>
<li>Deliver performance feedback internally and externally.</li>
<li>Attend industry events to expand and strengthen the supplier network.</li>
<li>Share and implement best practices to improve sourcing efficiency.</li>
</ul><div><i>Project Transition and Handoff:</i></div>
<ul><li>Lead internal project handoff meetings with project management, safety, finance, and technical teams.</li>
<li>Participate in internal and external kickoff calls with suppliers, customers, and project managers.</li>
<li>Support sourcing tasks throughout lifecycle changes and project execution.</li>
<li>Contribute to final project closeout activities with cross-functional partners.</li>
</ul><div><b>Education and Experience:</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or equivalent college degree &ndash; focus in supply chain preferred.</li>
<li>10+ years of experience in logistics sourcing or project management related field desired.</li>
<li>Project experience in sourcing, procurement, management, finance, or sales capacity desired.</li>
<li>Professional experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, RFQ process, or finance desired.</li>
<li>Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization.</li>
