The ideal candidate will bring a passion for primary care, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in patient outcomes.<ul><li>Preferred Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday </li><li>Open TO: First-year graduates- we love helping new providers grow!</li><li>If you're passionate about patient care and want to be apart of a welcoming, team-focused enviornment, we'd love to hear from you.</li><li>Contact us at 615-859-1440</li><li>Email your resmune to longnurse@bellsouth.net or submitt through here.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough medical history assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.</li><li>Develop personalized care plans that incorporate preventive measures, health education, and treatment strategies aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.</li><li>Manage acute and chronic illnesses by diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, medical imaging, or EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.</li><li>Utilize advanced EHR systems like Epic to document patient encounters accurately, track health progress, and facilitate seamless communication with multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Perform procedures including suturing, basic wound care, and other minor outpatient interventions as needed.</li><li>Coordinate with specialists in fields such as psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, dermatology, pulmonology, and others to ensure comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Provide health coaching and education to empower patients in managing their health conditions effectively.</li><li>Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.</li><li>Engage in discharge planning for hospitalized patients and follow-up care for outpatient services to promote continuity of care.</li><li>Support triage efforts in urgent care or outpatient settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently.</li><li>Stay current with medical advancements by participating in ongoing training related to medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, infection control protocols, and other relevant areas.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Medical degree (MD or DO or PA or NP) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in the applicable jurisdiction.</li><li>Proven experience in primary care settings such as outpatient clinics or hospital medicine environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic radiology procedures including CT scans and nuclear medicine imaging.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical records management is highly desirable.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures including suturing and wound care confidently.</li><li>Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care workflows along with hospital experience preferred.</li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are advantageous.</li><li>Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or critical care units is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills paired with compassionate patient service orientation.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, specialists, radiologists, and allied health professionals.
