That means editing full-length podcast episodes for YouTube, creating clips from weekly productions, and producing standalone short-form videos built for social. You'll support the work of our commentators and contributors, and help drive our clients' YouTube channels and social media feeds.You'll work closely with our communications and creative teams and be expected to move fast without cutting corners. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when news breaks, is part of this role.Your Responsibilities<ul><li>Edit full-length podcast episodes for YouTube, including multi-cam setups, graphics, and audio cleanup.</li><li>Create and optimize short-form clips from podcast productions and other long-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.</li><li>Craft attention-grabbing thumbnails and draft video titles that are accurate, on-brand, and built to perform.</li><li>Monitor the daily news cycle to identify timely content opportunities and turn around video quickly when the moment calls for it.</li><li>Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and archives.</li><li>Collaborate with communications and creative teams to ensure finished content aligns with project goals and messaging.</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>2+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in a news, political commentary, or fast-paced digital media environment.</li><li>Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop; experience with After Effects and Audition is a plus.</li><li>Genuine passion for politics and current events; you follow the news closely and understand the context behind what you're editing.</li><li>Proven experience editing podcasts for video, including multi-cam setups and familiarity with podcast-specific editing workflows.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to create engaging, platform-native short-form content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.</li><li>Fast and reliable under deadline pressure, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to working within established style and brand guidelines.</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as news breaks and content demands.</li><li>Ability to be in the office (downtown DC) five days a week.  About the Role
 
 
 
 
 
 
 As a Researcher at Longwell Partners, you'll support a range of research needs across political strategy, communications, and investigations. That means tracking political candidates, donors and organizations, surfacing relevant news and public records, and distilling complex information into clear findings that the communications team can act on.
 
 
 
 
 
 This role spans the full range of Longwell Partners' research work. You'll move between projects and research types depending on our current priorities. You are relentless in your pursuit of information, you know when something doesn't add up, and you recognize when what you've found is something our communications team needs to hear about.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Your Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct research into political actors, organizations, donors, and policy issues to inform strategy and communications across Longwell Partners projects.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor political news and relevant developments in real time to identify emerging stories, rapid-response opportunities, and new angles for ongoing work.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze public records &mdash; including IRS 990 filings, FEC disclosures, corporate registrations, and other government data &mdash; to surface relevant facts and relationships.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce clear, well-sourced research memos and summaries that colleagues can act on quickly.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with media research, including sourcing past statements, video clips, and published reporting on key political actors.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Support public records requests and other investigative research tasks as needed.
 </li>

 What We're Looking For
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>

 1&ndash;3 years of experience in political research, journalism, advocacy, or a closely related field, or someone who can show strong research work in a relevant setting.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Sharp political instincts and a solid understanding of the current political and media landscape; you follow the news closely and know the key players.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong attention to detail and clear writing; you can take something complicated and explain it simply and accurately
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple research tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with research tools and public records sources, or a demonstrated ability to learn fast.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
