The Logistics Technician position is in charge of critical material supply, flow and availability to ensure that Lonza operates continuously without interruptions. Located in our Printing department USW are in charge of moving boxes and supplying the operations of packaging.
This position will follow all plant policies and safety guidelines at Lonza
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Manually transport critical materials (packaging, raw materials, equipment) to defined destinations</li><li>
Properly account for material and their defined process flows through electronic scanning</li><li>
Prepare equipment and materials for the next stage of the process according to work instructions</li><li>
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, etc.</li><li>
Must be able to work additional hours/days as business needs dictate</li><li>
Attendance in the plant site is considered an essential function</li><li>
The Logistics Technician provides backup for other Logistics Technicians</li></ul>
Other Duties:<ul><li>
Must meet expectations on Safety, Attendance, Teamwork, Quality, and Productivity metrics.</li><li>
Perform other duties as requested by management</li><li>
Qualifications:</li><li>
High school graduate or GED equivalent</li><li>
Must score a 100 or less on Color Test</li><li>
Basic computer skills</li><li>
Lift, push, pull, objects up to 50 lbs</li></ul>

 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring Environment, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) systems in line with Corporate EHS policies. The role involves delivering training, conducting risk assessments and ensuring a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

 Regulatory Compliance:
 </li>

 Filling compliance checklist of all applicable EHS regulations (a detailed checklist of compliances is prepared) periodically.
 </li>
 </ul>

 EHS Management Systems:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Checking compliances of Corporate EHS guideline&rsquo;s requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support implementation and continual improvement of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain documentation such as SOPs, risk assessments, emergency response plans, and audit checklists.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with area owners to conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA/ Fire Safety Risk Assessment/ Chemical Safety Risk Assessment etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with area owners to implement control measures and ensure follow-up on corrective actions of accident &amp; Near Miss CAPA, Gemba and actions of Risk Assessments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Checking of Permit&rsquo;s compliances
 </li>
 <li>
 Verifying quality, inspection and availability of all PPEs
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with production, maintenance, and project teams to embed EHS best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain incident records and track corrective/preventive actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitating incidents Investigation. ensuring timely reporting of incidences, ensuring timely reporting of near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Maintaining Fire prevention and Protection System:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure all firefighting system and fire alarm system are in good working condition.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Training and Awareness:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct EHS induction and periodic training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Environmental Management:
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure proper functioning of effluent treatment plant (ETP) to meet required effluent water quality
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with area owners that segregation and disposal of waste is done in line with regulatory requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure environmental monitoring is done as per plan and air quality is as per norms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Daily monitoring of energy and water usage
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Key Requirements

 B.Tech Mechanical(preferred) / Electrical.
 </li>

 Environment, Health &amp; Safety / Industrial Safety / Engineering
 </li>

 3-4 years in EHS.

Key Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>
Operate hard capsule machines (HCM) to produce capsules, adhering strictly to plant policies and safety guidelines.</li><li>
Perform tasks and responsibilities of an Operator Support Associate (OSA), Borsor Operator, and Quality Management Associate (QMA), including Vcaps Plus and Press-Fit.</li><li>
Operate cartons at Borsor, iBox, ILD, Unisor per Work Instructions &amp; Lonza Manufacturing Order.</li><li>
As a QMA, operate the HCM, conduct quality checks, and disposition products based on sample results. Troubleshoot basic issues on the HCM.</li><li>
As an OSA, change GFTs at the HCM, maintain general housekeeping in production areas, and remove scrap from the HCM.</li><li>
Perform other duties as requested by management.</li><li>
Work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Additional hours/days may be required based on business needs. Attendance in the plant site is considered essential.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
