If you&rsquo;re ambitious, adaptable, and ready to grow with a team that&rsquo;s redefining software testing, we want to hear from you.Job DescriptionAs an Automation QA Engineer at LoopQA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our clients' applications through test automation. We are looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also an exceptional learner and able to quickly adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies. The primary automation frameworks we work with are Playwright with TypeScript and/or JavaScript. However, you will be expected to adapt to a variety of testing methodologies and environments as client needs evolve. You&rsquo;ll work closely with developers to integrate and maintain robust automation frameworks that ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient testing processes. We place a strong emphasis on using cutting-edge AI toolsincluding ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor to accelerate your learning, streamline code generation, debug more efficiently, and stay current with best practices in automation and QA.Test Reviews:<ul><li>Review Unit and Integration Tests to ensure thorough coverage and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate with developers to enhance and maintain test suites.</li></ul>API Testing:<ul><li>Mock APIs to simulate real-world scenarios and validate functionality.</li><li>Perform thorough API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of the API endpoints.</li></ul>Front-End Testing:<ul><li>Add testIds to front-end components to facilitate efficient testing.</li><li>Develop and maintain automated UI tests for web applications.</li></ul>Continuous Learning:<ul><li>Quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks as required by projects.</li><li>Utilize resources like ChatGPT and YouTube to stay updated with the latest testing technologies and best practices.</li></ul>Deployment:<ul><li>Deploy applications using Docker to create controlled testing environments.</li><li>Ensure the deployment process is smooth and efficient for testing purposes.</li></ul>Data Management:<ul><li>Write data factories to generate test data for various testing scenarios.</li><li>Ensure data integrity and consistency across different test environments.</li></ul>CI/CD:<ul><li>Perform basic CI/CD work, including setting up and maintaining GitHub Actions for automated testing workflows.</li><li>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation.</li></ul>Quality Advocate:<ul><li>Push for better acceptance criteria in sprint planning.</li><li>Update the regression test suite when it goes out of date.</li><li>Discuss unit tests with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.</li></ul>Collaborative Efforts:<ul><li>Work with the Team Lead to help ensure the client is moving towards larger company goals by maintaining &quot;goal charts&quot; that track each individual's goals and how Loop Software &amp; Testing Services is impacting them.</li><li>Actively participate in meetings with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to discuss project requirements, test plans, and results.</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Proficiency in Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript.*</li><li>Knowledge and experience in Appium is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Ability to utilize AI tools on a daily basis to accelerate test implementation and troubleshooting.</li><li>Strong functional and automated testing skills.</li><li>Experience with API testing tools.</li><li>Proficient in database testing and data management.</li><li>Ability to deploy applications using Docker.</li><li>Effective communication skills to handle meetings and discussions.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems and branch management.</li><li>Experience writing and executing regression tests.</li><li>Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like GitHub Actions.</li><li>Proficiency in agile methodologies and participation in agile meetings.</li></ul>Please note the hiring process contains a technical evaluation using Playwright, JS/TS and an assessment of API and Database Testing skills.Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Charlotte, NC 28216: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Charlotte, NC 28216
