<div>What You Will Do 
 
We are looking for a proactive and highly organized Administrative Level 4 professional to provide strategic and administrative support, to help the Nuclear and Radiochemistry group (C-NR) achieve its goals efficiently. 
 
In this role, you will deliver daily administrative support to C-NR, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities efficiently, and handle personnel and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism, while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team. 
 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex administrative and office functions that require sound judgment, initiative, and independent decision-making. Key responsibilities include coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements and reimbursements. Managing multiple calendars and complex schedules as well as timekeeping for C-NR staff and students. Comprehensive experience in workplace safety compliance, coordinating site visits, supporting HR operations, serving as a Designated Purchase Representative (DPR), and managing space allocation and utilization.
 
 
What You Need 
 
Minimum Job Requirements:

Expert-level knowledge of and experience in providing administrative support and managing day-to-day office operations.</li><li>
Expert-level knowledge in Microsoft applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)</li><li>
Expert-level knowledge of the Laboratory's organizational structure and administrative policies, practices, and procedures with awareness of Government regulatory requirements and potential environmental impacts.</li><li>
Skilled in creating well-structured correspondence, reports, and professional presentations.</li><li>
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, highly detail-oriented, skilled in precise documentation, and committed to outstanding customer service.</li><li>
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and build strong professional relationships across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow-through to complete multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities.</li><li>
Effectively managed high-volume, complex scheduling across multiple shared calendars, ensuring seamless coordination of meetings and events.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with processes and systems for hosting external visitors, including foreign national visitors.</li><li>
Excellent record of professional behavior, dependability, and availability.</li><li>
Ability to obtain a Q clearance (which typically requires a US Citizenship)</li></ul>
Education/Experience: Position requires a High School Diploma and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, additional training, certification, and/or education may be desirable. 
 
Desired Qualifications: 
<ul><li>
Experience with LANL Lab-wide systems (Oracle E-Business Suite, Concur, Ariba, FVTS and SharePoint).</li><li>
Knowledge of, and experience in, executing simple and complex procurements, including sourcing requests and subcontracts.</li><li>
Experience working with sensitive and/or classified information.</li><li>
Experience with LANL's visitor procedures.</li><li>
Active Q clearance</li></ul>
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

<div>What You Will Do 
 
This position will be filled at either the Computer and Information Security Specialist 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
 
 
This position is responsible for supporting the Argus Security System at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Department of Energy site. The Argus Security System is developed and maintained at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and deployed at LANL. The Argus system is a network based distributed computerized control system with significant security and reliability features. This individual will report to the Team Leader and is responsible for a wide range of duties centered around maintenance activities.
 
 
Duties may include: 
 
Computer &amp; Information Security Specialist 1 ($72,800 - $115,400)
 
The selected candidate will ensure maintenance databases in the computerized maintenance management system reflect the current configuration of the Argus perimeter and interior systems. They will generate work orders for Argus corrective and scheduled maintenance activities. They will input scheduling information into the Operations Control schedule utility (Microsoft Outlook). The candidate will be required to create preventive maintenance record worksheets from current system database and distribute to the appropriate team leaders. 
 
Computer &amp; Information Security Specialist 2 ($87,800 - $143,000)
 
 
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, at this level the selected candidate will retrieve Argus system logs and provide in depth analysis of False and Nuisance Alarm data to create extensive maintenance reports to upper management. Maintain high competency in Microsoft Excel, Splunk, and Tableau software packages. Review utility outage forms and provide clients and security technicians with information on security system impact.

In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires:

Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting computer and information security.
</li><li>Understand statistical analysis as related to security sensors and maintenance activities.</li><li>
In-depth knowledge of the Laboratory's computer and information security policies, practices, and procedures.</li></ul>
Computer and Information Security Specialist 1 Education Required: Position requires a minimum of 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
 
Computer and Information Security Specialist 2 Education Required: Position requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. 
 
Desired Qualifications: 
<ul><li>
Proven success in working with multiple, diverse teams both internal and external (including the Protective Force) to collaboratively achieve task goals utilizing interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.</li><li>
Knowledge and experience with DOE &amp; NNSA policies and orders. Specifically, DOE O 473.1A Physical Protection Programs.</li><li>
Knowledge of the Argus Security System, Protective Force operations and responses, especially alarm console operations.</li><li>
Knowledge of computer system data logs and programming data retrieval software for analysis.</li><li>
Knowledge of network server administration including updating software and resolving vulnerability reports.</li></ul>
