 Job Summary:
 
 
 
 The Los Angeles Center for Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy is large private ENT group with 11 clinic locations (soon to be 12) across the greater LA area. We have six ENT physicians, a Sleep Medicine physician, an Allergy and Immunology physician and a growing team of 20 PA's and NPs.
 
 
 Our practice encourages PAs to operate at the upper limit of our scope of practice. We regularly perform in-office diagnostic endoscopies, office procedures, assist with logistics / patient care / documentation in the OR, and get experience with inpatient care as well. The team is very supportive and you'll never wait more than a few minutes for some advice from our experienced team of collaborating physicians.  Job Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
 </li>
 <li>
 Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
 </li>
 <li>
 Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

 Qualifications and Experience:

 Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university PA Program required
 </li>
 <li>
 Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of California
 </li>

 National Certification with NCCPA
 </li>
 <li>
 1-2 years of ENT experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Thoroughness, Clinical Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Administering Medication, Pain Management, Self-Development

 Job Summary
 
 
 
 Medical receptionists are the face of the organization. All medical receptionists are expected to be friendly and helpful. As a medical receptionist, you are often the first person that a patient comes across when entering the office. It is your responsibility to make LA CENTA&rsquo;s first impression. This is a very important position that should not be taken lightly!
 
 
 
 Job Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Welcomes and greets patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verifies insurance/eligibility information and ensures appropriate forms are signed and dated.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verifies patient demographics and insurance information when scheduling appointments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicates to patients when a physician is running behind schedule.
 </li>
 <li>
 Optimizes patients' satisfaction, physician time, and treatment room utilization by notifying back office staff when patients have arrived.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares lab requisition forms as requested by physicians
 </li>
 <li>
 Scans Radiology and Lab requisitions to patient files.
 </li>
 <li>
 Records outcome of reminder calls made to patients scheduled for procedures, Radiology, Labs and in-office appointments in AdvancedMD
 </li>
 <li>
 Keeps patient appointments on schedule by reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; and notifying Office Manager of service delays.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 Assist in the creation of new patient welcome packets.
 </li>

 General knowledge of HIPAA
 </li>

 Must be able to travel within our various Los Angeles based clinics
 </li>

 Computer literate, ability to type at least 40 wpm
