Position Scope: The Dining Room Associate is responsible for the operation of meal preparation, set up and services within the community while providing excellent customer service to our residents and guests in a caring and personalized atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.</li><li>
Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.</li><li>
Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.</li><li>
Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.</li><li>
Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization&rsquo;s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.</li><li>
Take food and drink orders from residents and guests accurately and with a positive attitude.</li><li>
Engage with residents in a friendly manner.</li><li>
Deliver meals to residents&rsquo; rooms.</li><li>
Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.</li><li>
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.</li><li>
Perform end of shift duties in dining and kitchen.</li><li>
Clear, clean, and set tables.</li><li>
Cleans dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils. Washes dishes, glassware,</li><li>
flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwasher or by hand.</li><li>
Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.</li><li>
Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks</li><li>
to send through dish machine.</li><li>
Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook&rsquo;s line and other proper storage areas.</li><li>
Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering</li><li>
Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.</li><li>
Experience providing excellent customer service.</li><li>
A positive attitude and ability to work well cooks and other staff.</li><li>
Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.</li><li>
Ability to deliver orders in a timely manner.</li><li>
Flexible availability during dining operations hours, and servers must be willing to work any shift to meet staffing needs.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Walk/Stand/Sitting &ndash; must be able to continuously perform duties that incorporate walking, standing, or sitting.</li><li>
Environment Condition &ndash; must be able to perform work both inside and outside.</li><li>
Lift - constantly 0 &ndash; 10 pounds, frequently 11 &ndash; 50 pounds, occasionally 51 &ndash; 100 pounds.</li><li>
Carry - constantly 0 &ndash; 10 pounds, frequently 11 &ndash; 50 pounds, occasionally 51 &ndash; 100 pounds.</li><li>
Push - constantly 0 &ndash; 10 pounds, frequently 11 &ndash; 50 pounds, occasionally 51 &ndash; 100 pounds.</li><li>
Climb &ndash; must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.</li><li>
Bend &ndash; must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis, may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.</li><li>
Twist or rotate &ndash; must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.</li><li>
Reach - may occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.</li><li>
Sensory Vision &ndash; must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses.</li><li>
Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells, and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.</li><li>
Speech/Language &ndash; must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret medical and administration information.</li></ul></div>
