<div>Front Desk Representative

Front Office Manager

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for welcoming and greeting patients and visitors in person or on the phone; answering or referring inquiries. Excellent customer service, telephone skills, professionalism, flexibility, ability to effectively manage time, keeping organized, giving attention to detail, computer competency and focus on quality care are all must-haves to excel in this fast-paced, and growing practice. 
 
Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Greeting and welcoming a high volume of patients on a daily basis</li>
<li>Verifying insurance eligibility and ensuring that prior authorizations have been obtained</li>
<li>Collecting deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance correctly</li>
<li>Posting payments to patient's accounts</li>
<li>Managing a cash drawer and balancing at the end of the day</li>
<li>Schedule patients for return appointments and testing</li>

<ul><li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Strong computer skills</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible schedule, which includes some travel and weekends</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving abilities</li> 
</ul> 
 
Education and experience
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED (Required)</li>
<li>Minimum of two years Customer Service experience (Required)</li>
<li>Experience with front desk in a medical office/optical field (Preferred)</li>
<li>Experience working with several different types of insurance (Preferred)</li>
<li>Experience working in a professional, fast-paced environment (Preferred)</li>
<li>HIPPA compliance</li></ul></div></div>
