Job Title:Case Manager, Sheltered Housing ProgramReports to: Assistant Director of HousingLocation: Grand Haven, MIDate Prepared: 3/17/2026Christian Case ManagerServing Guests experiencing homelessness, this position is the Case Manager for all Sheltered Housing Guests. As a mature servant leader, they will embody and promote the dignity and value of every individual. The Case Manager will model Christ-like love, hope and grace with a passion to serve others. With humility, the Case Manager will lovingly hold Guests accountable for their actions as they support them in their personal goals. Guests will gain greater insight into themselves, while learning who they are in Christ. The Case Manager will compassionately guide Guests into life giving habits while helping them to avoid discouragement or relapse. Giving direction, guidance, assistance, and oversight for the progress and growth of each Guest, the Case Manager will help them to be able to experience transformation in their journey, community connectedness, and long-term stability. Duties and Responsibilities &middot; Maintains a case load of 15 adults (potentially children as well)&middot; Immediately welcome and connect with each Guest. Assist with acclimation to the Sheltered Housing Program, explaining documentations, Housing guidelines and New Guest scheduling. &middot; Set S.M.A.R.T goals, motivating each Guest towards desiring and achieving those goals.&middot; Work closely with the Money Manager.&middot; Support the Sheltered Housing Program, understanding how all aspects of the program and team members work together for achieving desired outcomes of growth and stability.&middot; Facilitate the restoration of relationships with God, self, others and creation.&middot; Hold regular meetings to provide a safe place for Guests to work through problems, set goals with clear expectations, give accountability, create Guest schedules, discuss progress and assess for adjustments.&middot; Keep accurate notes, following established processes.&middot; Connect Guests with local and government resources based on their needs. &middot; Require outside counseling, addiction recovery programming as needed, and Mental Health treatment, including Psychiatry evaluations when needed. &middot; Completion of documentations, data and file maintenance for all Grant and LIA requirements.&middot; Encourage and support Guest completion of other aspects of the Sheltered Housing Program such as Job Readiness, Money Management, Life-Skill Classes, Employment/Income, and Housing.&middot; Oversee a smooth transition for Guests upon Launch/Program Graduation.&middot; Attend all LIA meeting and Sheltered Housing meetings.&middot; Ensure coverage of Housing. When necessary, rotating with other staff to cover PTO, sickness absence, weekends, evenings and holidays.&middot; If needed, serves as the Sheltered Housing Supervisor, ensuring tasks are completed.&middot; Assist the Assistant Director and/or Director with any other duties assigned.Skills and Abilities&middot; Administering prayer and Biblical guidance.&middot; Able to maintain confidentiality and good boundaries.&middot; Strives to maintain sound judgment, good listening skills, patience, understanding, compassion, and discernment at all times. &middot; Demonstrate flexibility and be openness to change.&middot; Work efficiently as a team player, keeping the Sheltered Housing Team their first team in order to facilitate unity and a loving environment.<ul><li>Communicates effectively and honestly, verbally and in writing.</li><li>Encourages and motivate others.</li><li>Kindly holds guests accountable</li><li>Able to receive and follow direction well from the Housing Leadership Team.</li><li>Exhibits good time management skills.</li><li>Demonstrate sensitivity to working within a variety of religious beliefs, racial, cultural, ethnic and economic situations without judgment.</li><li>Has the ability to confront lies and challenging situations with the goal of accountability and restoration while bringing truth to light.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Professes Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, with confidence to share their own faith.</li><li>Humbly models servant leadership, recognizing their own need for continuous transformation.</li><li>Demonstrates patience, Christ&rsquo;s grace and loving-kindness while inspiring hope.</li><li>Experience in working with those experiencing homelessness helpful.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in Case Management, counseling, pastoring, mentoring or coaching preferred.</li><li>Maintains an ongoing knowledge of referral agencies and ministries of Love in Action.</li><li>Attend and complete Love In Action orientation. Attend all staff training offered while in the employment of Love in Action.</li></ul>&middot; Maintains a working knowledge of Email, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Able to learn and operate within the LIA VCM database, HMIS data system, and the Paxton Key Card System.<ul><li>Experience using office equipment, computers, printers, security system and multiple phone lines.</li></ul>Financial Compensation&middot; This is a part-time hourly position of 30 hours per week. Pay received bi-weekly. Reviews conducted annually.&middot; Pay Range $18-$22/Hr.Schedule&middot; Sunday, Monday, Wednesday from 1pm-7pm and Tuesday, Thursday, 9:30am-3:30 pm.
