LPA is seeking a passionate Civil Design Intern to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award-winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic and social impact. Completed projects include Edwards Lifesciences, County of Orange Administration, and San Marcos High School.
What You'll Do:<ul><li>
Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.</li><li>
Support project teams in tasks and duties pertaining to active projects.</li><li>
Work within AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce design documentation.</li><li>
Attend team coordination meetings and field visits to further understand design and project scope.</li></ul>

Weekly calls with other interns and introductions to members across our Leadership team.</li><li>
Participate in Embark, a one-day workshop with other interns and new graduates to meet with leadership, tour project sites, and learn from other disciplines.</li><li>
Education opportunities including LPA+U and LPA Tech Talks.</li><li>
Opportunities to work on active projects and gain insight into working at an integrated design firm.</li></ul>
What We&rsquo;re Looking For:<ul><li>
In pursuit of a Bachelor&rsquo;s in Civil Engineering or related field</li><li>
In pursuit of an Engineering in Training License</li><li>
Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment</li><li>
Curious and open minded to learn</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>
