Senior Functional Configuration Consultant &ndash; SAP HR (Hire-to-Retire)</b></div><div>
Engagement Type: Contract (with potential for contract-to-hire) Work Model: Onshore, CONUS-based, Eastern Time support (Resource must be physically located within the continental United States and able to support Eastern Time business hours.)</div><div></div><div><b>
Minimum Experience &amp; Certifications</b></div><ul><li>
10+ years of SAP HCM functional experience</li><li>
5+ years supporting SAP S/4HANA 1909 or higher</li><li>
3+ years in an AMS / production support role (not implementation-only)</li><li>
SAP certification in one or more of the following:<ul><li>
SAP Human Capital Management</li><li>
SAP S/4HANA Cloud (HR or related)</li><li>
SAP SuccessFactors (preferred but not required)</li></ul></li><li>
Experience supporting public sector or regulated environments strongly preferred</li></ul><div><b>
SAP Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Hands-on functional configuration and support of SAP S/4HANA HCM supporting Hire-to-Retire</li><li>
Deep expertise in Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), and Time Management</li><li>
Experience supporting Travel &amp; Expense processes integrated with Finance</li><li>
Integration experience with payroll providers (e.g., ADP) and timekeeping systems</li><li>
Familiarity with the RISE with SAP operating model and SAP Cloud ALM</li><li>
Working knowledge of HR security roles, authorizations, and sensitive data controls</li><li>
Experience with Fiori-based HR processes and end-user support</li></ul><div><b>
Business Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Strong understanding of HR operations in public-sector or compliance-driven organizations</li><li>
Ability to interpret HR policies, labor rules, and agency procedures into SAP configuration</li><li>
Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end HR cycles</li><li>
Ability to work closely with HR leadership, payroll, Finance, IT, and auditors</li><li>
Awareness of data privacy and regulatory requirements impacting HR systems</li></ul><div><b>
Consulting Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Proven experience delivering AMS functional support, including incidents, service requests, and minor enhancements</li><li>
Strong root-cause analysis and issue resolution skills in a production environment</li><li>
Ability to maintain functional documentation, runbooks, and SOPs</li><li>
Experience supporting system transitions, upgrades, and post-migration stabilization</li><li>
Ability to apply clean core principles while meeting operational needs</li></ul><div><b>
Leadership Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Serves as functional lead for Hire-to-Retire within the AMS team</li><li>
Acts as escalation point for complex HR functional issues</li><li>
Coordinates with SAP, Basis, Security, and Finance teams</li><li>
Supports transition and knowledge transfer from incumbent providers</li><li>
Mentors junior or offshore functional resources as needed</li></ul><div><b>
Personnel Development</b></div><ul><li>
Coaches team members on SAP HR best practices and client-specific processes</li><li>
Contributes to reusable AMS assets and knowledge base</li><li>
Supports cross-training across Finance and Integration touchpoints</li><li>
Participates in continuous improvement and skills development initiatives</li></ul><div><b>
General Skills / Tasks</b></div><ul><li>
Provide reliable onshore support during business-critical processing periods</li><li>
Participate in SLA tracking, service reviews, and audit support</li><li>
Assist with planning future upgrades and HR process optimizations</li><li>
Maintain high service quality in a regulated, mission-critical environment</li></ul><p>
