Job Location: Miami, FLSummary: Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects, or services by performing the following duties.Key duties/responsibilities:<ul><li>Coordinate with department personnel to assist them in establishing the project scope.</li><li>Quantify materials required to accomplish each project.</li><li>Assist in the establishment of job priority based on general guidelines.</li><li>Scan and copy drawings and specifications.</li><li>Prepare bid files.</li><li>Provide subcontractors and manufacturers with drawings and specs prior to bid.</li><li>Follow up with subcontractors and manufacturers to ensure receipt of quotes prior to bid..</li><li>Review estimators bid figures.</li><li>Arrange for a company representative to attend pre-bid meetings, if necessary.</li><li>Obtain information for estimator, such as liquidated damages, start/completion dates and bidders list.</li><li>Knowledge of building construction, materials and methods.</li><li>Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specification.</li><li>Provide project information to project administrative assistant.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum 4 years previous construction and fence administrative experience.</li><li>Proficient knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Adobe and other applications.
