 Pharmacist who works closely with other pharmacy staff to receive prescription orders and oversee prescription refills.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 This is a per diem, onsite position in Plano, TX.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Role And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Fill prescriptions and review prescriptions filled by Pharmacy Technicians.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide drug information and patient counseling as required by law.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain medication invoices, including controlled substance invoices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform inventories required by law.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide guidance and counseling to support personnel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain good relationship with clinic management and clinical staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interpret medication orders/prescriptions and review patient's medication profile for drug-drug interactions, appropriate dosing, and allergies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain proper medication storage conditions and maintain temperature logs as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand prescription billing requirements for different payors, including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare-D
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide oversight of medication distribution to remote clinic locations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate and promote excellent customer service.
 </li>
 <li>

 Qualifications And Education Requirements
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Holds an active license from the Texas Board of Pharmacy; license is in good standing.
 </li>

 Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of two years of pharmacist practice in retail, ambulatory, or hospital outpatient settings.
 </li>

SummaryThe role of the technician is to support pharmacy practice as allowed by the Board of Pharmacy and perform all duties as designated by the pharmacist-in-charge.Roles and Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet and interact with customers with prompt courteous service.</li><li>Professionally respond to customer concerns and questions to ensure a positive customer experience.</li><li>Use courteous and proper telephone etiquette.
