Product Engineering Data Analyst</b></h1><p>
We are looking for a Product Engineering Data Analyst to help the Product Engineering team access, analyse, and act on product, process, yield, and test data faster and more consistently. As a member of the Product Engineering team, you will support data-driven decision making in areas such as yield improvement, product performance, material review, manufacturability, and zero-defect culture.</p><p>
This is the team's go-to builder of analysis tools, dashboards, and data packages &mdash; the person who turns slow, manual, one-off data work into fast, repeatable, maintainable software support. When an engineer needs data pulled, a tool rebuilt, or a recurring report stood up, you're who they come to.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
The Role</b></h2><p>
This role suits either:</p><ul><li>
A Product / Process / Test / Manufacturing Engineer moving further into data analytics, or</li><li>
A Data Science / Analytics professional moving closer to Product Engineering, manufacturing, yield, and product performance.</li></ul><p>
You'll work across Product, Process, and Test Engineering, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, IT / data-system owners, and local and global Data Science &amp; Analytics teams. Primary accountability stays within Product Engineering priorities, with business ownership set by the Product Engineering Manager.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll Do</b></h2><ul><li>
Create tools that pull product, process, yield, and test data faster &mdash; and recreate legacy tools that are no longer stable, maintainable, or fit for purpose.</li><li>
Maintain and improve Product Engineering reports, dashboards, and reporting execution (creation, maintenance, validation, improvement).</li><li>
Build product-health dashboards and recurring scorecards.</li><li>
Extract, clean, validate, analyse, and present data from multiple sources; validate data quality before outputs are used for engineering decisions.</li><li>
Create repeatable analysis methods across wafer-, bar-, die-, device-, and final-test levels.</li><li>
Support yield, trend, and parametric analysis, failure Pareto / failure-mode analysis, and product performance monitoring.</li><li>
Support investigations into yield loss, scrap, rework, lot holds, and tool excursions by correlating process history, tool history, metrology, SPC, and test results.</li><li>
Improve self-service access to common Product Engineering data, working with IT, DSA, MES owners, and other data owners.</li><li>
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>
Support structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen) where data analysis is required.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Minimum Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.</li><li>
Experience in at least one of: Product / Process / Test / Manufacturing Engineering; Data Science / Analytics; or manufacturing, quality, or yield analytics.</li><li>
Practical experience working with engineering, manufacturing, product, process, test, quality, or operational data &mdash; including incomplete, imperfect, or ambiguous data.</li><li>
Experience creating, maintaining, improving, or using analysis tools, dashboards, reports, or automated workflows with at least one of:<ul><li>
Analysis / scripting: JMP, JMP Scripting Language (JSL), Python, SQL, R, VBA, Excel / Power Query</li><li>
Reporting / automation: Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate</li></ul></li><li>
Basic applied statistics: trend analysis, distributions, correlation, regression, SPC, capability analysis, DOE review.</li><li>
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and interest in working close to Product Engineering, manufacturing operations, yield improvement, and product performance.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
Semiconductor wafer fabrication, III-V / InP processing, optical component manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or another high-complexity manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Understanding of wafer fab flow, product routing, WIP movement, lot history, rework loops, scrap, tool constraints, and metrology limitations.</li><li>
Experience with MES, SPC systems, and test / yield / engineering databases or manufacturing reporting systems.</li><li>
Experience with wafer-, die-, bar-, device-, or final-test yield analysis, and correlating process / tool history, metrology, SPC trends, and test results.</li><li>
Experience supporting material review / MRB, 8D, or excursion review.</li><li>
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.</li></ul><p><i>

The Opportunity</b></p><p>
We are seeking an experienced <b>Reliability Engineer</b> to join our semiconductor and optoelectronics team. This role will focus on the reliability assessment, qualification, and failure analysis of advanced optoelectronic devices, including III-V and Silicon Photonics (SiPho) technologies.</p><p>
The successful candidate will work closely with design, process, product, test, and quality engineering teams to develop qualification strategies, investigate reliability risks, and support customer-facing reliability activities.</p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Define, plan, and execute reliability qualification programmes for optoelectronic components.</li><li>
Evaluate semiconductor and optical component ageing behaviour and identify reliability risks.</li><li>
Develop failure mode-specific degradation models and perform life prediction analysis.</li><li>
Conduct accelerated life testing and reliability assessments.</li><li>
Lead root cause investigations and reliability analysis of field returns.</li><li>
Apply Design for Reliability (DfR), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methodologies.</li><li>
Analyse complex reliability datasets using statistical and modelling tools.</li><li>
Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Support customer discussions relating to product reliability, qualification, and physics-of-failure.</li></ul><p><b>
Essential Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p><p><b>
Education</b></p><ul><li>
Master's degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.</li><li>
Strong academic background in a relevant engineering or scientific field.</li></ul><p><b>
Experience</b></p><p>
A minimum of 5 years' experience within semiconductor or optoelectronic industries, with demonstrable expertise in:</p><ul><li>
Reliability engineering and qualification of optoelectronic components.</li><li>
Reliability programme definition, planning, and execution.</li><li>
Failure mechanisms in lasers, photodetectors, modulators, waveguides, resistors, and fibre-coupled devices.</li><li>
Accelerated life testing, reliability modelling, and lifetime prediction.</li><li>
Statistical analysis using tools such as ReliaSoft/Weibull++, JMP, Minitab, or Python.</li><li>
Design for Reliability (DfR), FMEA, and FTA methodologies.</li><li>
Technical report writing and presentation of reliability data and conclusions.</li></ul><p><b>
Desirable Experience</b></p><ul><li>
PhD in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.</li><li>
Semiconductor fabrication and process engineering experience.</li><li>
Test instrumentation development and die-level characterisation.</li><li>
Programming experience in Python, C, or C#.</li><li>
Failure analysis techniques including Electroluminescence, FIB, SEM/TEM, and EDX.</li><li>
Device modelling and Design for Reliability using COMSOL or Ansys.</li><li>
Machine learning applications for large reliability datasets.</li><li>
Customer-facing reliability and qualification support.</li><li>
Mentoring or technical leadership experience.</li></ul><p><b>
