About the role:</b></h3>
<p>
The Hospice Care Consultant provides education and brings awareness to the hospice benefit with a primary focus on developing and maintaining relationships that give access to eligible patients to receive hospice services.</p>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Responsibilities:</b></h3>
<div><ul><li>Assists the Executive Director/Administrator in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Initiates marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary projections.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Educates facilities, families, and the community at large on the hospice benefit.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provides leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Support care team in field by gathering referral information, helping to obtain orders, following up on pending referrals.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure annual education is completed and documented.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Accountable to goals set by agency leadership including development of unique referral sources, territory growth, achieving admission/census goals.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Qualifications:</b></h3>
<p>
1. A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.</p>
<p>
2. At least two (2) years experience in health care marketing, preferably in hospice care preferred.</p>
<p>
3. Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.</p>
<p>
4. Demonstrate organizational skills.</p>
<p>
5. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.</p>
<p>
6. Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.</p>
<p>
7. Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.</p>
