Position Description:
The Culinary Enrichment Teacher 1 collaborates with other Teachers to implement and manage culinary-based educational enrichment programs and cooking classes. This role involves supporting instructional activities, preparing materials, and providing individualized attention to students to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment centered around cooking and culinary arts.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Review lesson plans in advance on a weekly basis.</li><li>
Watch recorded video trainings.</li><li>
Check-in with Enrichments Manager or supervisors as needed for questions and classroom support.</li><li>
Organize lessons by setting out materials, prepping food portions, and following the Lead Teacher's guidance for lesson execution.</li><li>
Participate in teacher training sessions before the start of the semester.</li><li>
Distribute any applicable materials or handouts to students before the class concludes.</li><li>
Provide feedback in the designated channel within 48 hours after each class.</li><li>
Notify Enrichment Manager and/or supervisors of any in-class incidents as soon as possible utilizing incident reports.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Previous experience working with children</li><li>
Must pass a background check, including sex offender search, criminal search and national watchlist search.</li><li>
TB Immunization required</li><li>
Additional background checks and immunization requirements may vary depending on the school.</li></ul>
