JOB SUMMARY</b></h3><p>
This position is responsible for the oversight of all ingredient and packaging purchasing activities for manufacturing to include accountability for costing, supply chains, inventory, contracts and supplier performance.<br>

</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</b></h3><p>
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.</p><ul><li>
Provide assistance to all Lunds &amp; Byerlys team members modeling company customer service standards at all times</li><li>
Hire, train and develop team members, including performance evaluations, performance management and general supervision
</li><li>Coach, mentor, and lead direct reports to accomplish goals of the location plan and personal goals for each team member</li><li>
Develop and centrally manage the procurement of goods and materials
</li><li>Establish standard costs for all ingredients and packaging. Maintain purchase price variances within established guidelines</li><li>
Manage all procurement activities required to support the manufacturing facilities including the joint usage of like products between facilities
</li><li>Establish and ensure that the necessary infrastructure is in place to support procurement and order management.</li><li>
Manage and assess the needs of all internal customers through formal and informal communications, specifically managing out-of-stock updates from vendors to reduce sales loss
</li><li>Negotiate buying contracts resulting in the lowest cost of goods for materials and supplies while maintaining established inventories
</li><li>Source suppliers, negotiate buying agreements and establish order quantities, shipping arrangements and terms as appropriate</li><li>
Ensure external and internal compliance with buying agreements by monitoring product pricing</li><li>
Review purchase agreements and supplier performance on a continual basis with category manager and advise internal customers of pricing shifts and product availability
</li><li>Review financial performance reports and analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities to obtain cost savings objectives through efficient planning of resources,</li><li>
Assist with the annual budget
</li><li>Ensure shrink is controlled and documented
</li><li>Manage monthly inventory process from start to finish
</li><li>Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices
</li><li>Ensure compliance with HACCP plan which includes housekeeping and record keeping practices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></h3><ul><li>
Education</li><li>
Undergraduate degree in management, general business, logistics or equivalent experience</li><li>
Licensing Required:
</li><li>Food safety, HACCP, and forklift certifications</li><li>
APICS certification</li><li>
First Aid, CPR preferred</li><li>
Experience</li><li>
Four or more years' supervisory experience of 5 or more employees; preferably in a manufacturing setting</li><li>
Food manufacturing, purchasing or buying experience</li><li>
