The Immigration Specialist is responsible for providing immigration support, advocacy, and counseling to clients in our Seattle, Washington and SeaTac, Washington offices and assist in outreach and education to the immigrant and refugee community in Washington.
 Please note that this position will work out of our Northgate office for the first 6 months. After training is complete this position will be based in our SeaTac office. This position is an onsite role.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Provide information and advocacy on a wide variety of immigration matters including but not limited to Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, and Family Reunification.</li>
<li>Complete accreditation training and credentialing in a reasonable time established by Safe Route Director and Staff Attorney.</li>
<li>Provide in-person and phone assistance to clients with their immigration matters and provide ongoing case management and support.</li>
<li>Schedule clients for appointments.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate client files and detailed case notes.</li>
<li>Attend ongoing training and continuing education courses to keep updated on recent changes in Immigration Law.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li>
</ul>

REQUIREMENTS: 
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Immigration Law and of USCIS processes and eligibility requirements for immigration benefits including but not limited to Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, and Family Reunification.</li>
<li>Minimum 1-year prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in immigration.</li>
<li>Possess strong communication (both written and verbal), time-management, and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multitask and set priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to work as a supportive team member.</li>
<li>Familiarity with standard office procedures and basic knowledge of office equipment (printer, photocopy, fax, scanner, phone, etc.).</li>
<li>Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client confidentiality.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree
 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be working towards partial accreditation by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Now Hiring: Bilingual Teacher Interventionist / Home Visitor in Newberg (Spanish & English Speaking)
 Location: Newberg, OR
 Hours: 37.5 hours/week, occasional evening hours
 Compensation: $21.70-32.56/hour

 Lutheran Community Services Northwest Yamhill County is looking for a Spanish-speaking Teacher Interventionist / Home Visitor to support families with children aged 5 and younger. You’ll provide intensive home-visiting services to highly stressed families whose children are also served in the Therapeutic Early Childhood Program classrooms. This position is also responsible for co-creating/planning and implementing developmentally appropriate and therapeutic curricula, monitoring each child’s development and progress, as well as creating developmentally appropriate goals for each child.
 
What You’ll Do: 
<ul>
<li>Co-Plan, implement, and post developmentally and therapeutically appropriate classroom curriculum and activities for children ages 24 mo-5 years</li>
<li>Ensure a therapeutic atmosphere and interactions occur with children in the classroom</li>
<li>Incorporate research-based parenting education into home visits</li>
<li>Utilize the Growing Great Kids/Growing Great Families curriculum to engage families in parent-child activities, facilitate positive attachment, promote early childhood mental health and protective factors</li>
<li>Assist families to identify and achieve parenting, personal, and/or child goals</li>
<li>Provide referrals to necessary community resources, and advocate for the family’s needs and interests</li>
</ul>
What You Bring: 
<ul>
<li>Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)</li>
<li>Step 9 or higher in Oregon Registry Online required (Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or another related field).</li>
<li>At least two years of lived expertise/experience in an early childhood program working with children and families, including home visitation and/or parenting education, or equivalent college coursework, is required</li>
<li>Comfortable working with families from diverse backgrounds</li>
<li>Team player with good communication skills</li>
</ul>
Requirements for this position: 
<ul>

<li>Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle</li>
<li>Willing to get CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s Card, and Mandatory Reporter training within 6 months of hire</li>
