Job Summary</b></h2></div><div><p>
The Staff Accountant is a key contributor in a fast‑paced, growing organization. This role is responsible for completing daily accounting tasks requiring a basic level of accounting knowledge across a variety of responsibilities. This role will work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, providing hands-on support to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations. The Staff Accountant is responsible for (but not limited to) monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, g/l variance analysis, and development of weekly and monthly financial reports.</p><p></p><p><br>
This role is hands‑on and well‑suited for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a small to mid‑sized business environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Manage day-to-day accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).</li><li>
Execute accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.</li><li>
Assist with budget preparation and monthly departmental reporting.</li><li>
Reconcile daily cash activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances promptly.</li><li>
Process and research into customer rebates and deductions, escalate when necessary.</li><li>
Support external audits and provide requested schedules and documentation.</li><li>
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies in a growing environment.</li><li>
Perform special projects and other accounting duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Qualifications:</p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting or finance required</li><li>
2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid‑sized company</li><li>
Experience in wholesale, retail, distribution, or inventory‑driven environments strongly preferred</li><li>
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting</li><li>
Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations</li><li>
ERP system experience required (NetSuite or similar preferred)</li><li>
Intermediate Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups)</li><li>
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines</li><li>
CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
