Be part of this dynamic and growing company as we look towards the future of clinical private practice.Essential Job Functions and Duties:This role provides high-quality care to clients seeking help with mental health disorders across the lifespan. Duties and job functions may include but is not limited to:<ul><li>Assess, Diagnose, and Treat: Work with children, adolescents, adults, and elders to provide comprehensive mental health care.</li><li>Prescribe Medications: Utilize your expertise to manage treatment plans in accordance with Alaska&rsquo;s Nurse Practice Act.</li><li>Collaborate: Partner with counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic client care.</li><li>Document Care: Ensure timely and accurate medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and billing entries.</li><li>Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest best practices in mental health care.</li><li>Engage with Families: Communicate with guardians and significant others when appropriate, fostering a supportive network for your clients.</li><li>Order Tests: Utilize diagnostic tests to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness.</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Technology literacy required</li><li>Strong documentation skills and experience navigating electronic health records.</li><li>Experience working with Telehealth technologies preferred</li><li>Experience with Microsoft teams considered an asset</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Strong ability to manage time and prioritized tasks</li><li>Experience with child and youth therapy considered an asset, but not required</li><li>Experience with Group Therapy considered an asset but not required</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Qualifications:To thrive in this role, you will need:<ul><li>A Master&rsquo;s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with specialization in psychiatry/mental health.</li><li>An unencumbered license to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Alaska.</li><li>A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.</li><li>Practice Specialties in Child/Youth, Family Counseling considered an asset.</li><li>A valid DEA number and no exclusions from federal health care programs.</li><li>A valid Drivers License considered an asset</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeJob Location:<ul><li>Hybrid: in office in Kenai, AK 99611 and potential for some work from home days using telehealth</li><li>There is a potential for some off-site (on location) days in Homer to be discussed with the right candidate.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $113,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kenai, AK 99611
