<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Position Summary</b></h2>
<div>The Director of Nursing (DON) will serve as the clinical and regulatory leader for a startup home infusion program operating in conjunction with a specialty pharmacy in Texas.</div>
<div>Operations will initially launch from an existing Houston-based LTC location. The DON will provide onsite oversight during startup, establish nursing infrastructure, and support accreditation readiness during the launch phase.</div>
<div>The organization anticipates securing a permanent site in the Dallas&ndash;Fort Worth area. As the platform expands &mdash; including potential development of Ambulatory Infusion Suite (AIS) or Alternate Infusion Center (AIC) services &mdash; this role will provide clinical oversight across sites within Texas. Long-term residence within Texas is flexible, with preference for candidates based in DFW.</div>
<div>This role may also serve as the designated HCSSA Administrator, if required, in accordance with Texas regulations.</div>
<div>This is a startup leadership role requiring hands-on program development, regulatory oversight, and scalable clinical infrastructure buildout.</div>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Core Responsibilities</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Regulatory &amp; Compliance Leadership</b></h3>
<ul><li>Serve as the designated Director of Nursing under Texas HCSSA regulations.</li>
<li>May serve as HCSSA Administrator if designated.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal home health regulations.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Lead ACHC IRn accreditation preparation and survey readiness.</li>
<li>Establish and oversee Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.</li>
<li>Ensure documentation compliance and audit readiness across all operating sites.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Clinical Program Development</b></h3>
<ul><li>Develop infusion therapy protocols (IVIG, biologics, specialty therapies).</li>
<li>Establish patient assessment, care planning, and documentation standards.</li>
<li>Define clinical escalation and emergency response procedures.</li>
<li>Oversee infection control processes and patient safety standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to align clinical and dispensing workflows.</li>
<li>Support clinical development of AIS/AIC services at the permanent site, if implemented.</li>
<li>Collaborate with pharmacy leadership if sterile compounding services are introduced.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Staffing &amp; Clinical Leadership</b></h3>
<ul><li>Recruit, hire, and train infusion nurses.</li>
<li>Validate and document nursing competencies.</li>
<li>Establish 24/7 on-call clinical coverage model.</li>
<li>Oversee subcontracted nursing relationships during launch phase.</li>
<li>Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Operational Collaboration</b></h3>
<ul><li>Partner with PIC and pharmacy leadership to support time-to-therapy goals.</li>
<li>Participate in referral education efforts as needed.</li>
<li>Support multi-site growth and operational transitions.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required</b></h3>
<ul><li>Active Texas RN license in good standing.</li>
<li>Eligible to serve as Director of Nursing under Texas HCSSA regulations.</li>
<li>Eligible to serve as HCSSA Administrator if designated.</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years clinical experience.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years leadership or supervisory experience.</li>
<li>Experience in infusion therapy (IVIG, biologics, specialty therapies).</li>
<li>Experience with regulatory surveys (ACHC, CMS, or Joint Commission).</li>
<li>Willingness to travel regularly within Texas during launch and expansion phases.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred</b></h3>
<ul><li>Experience in home infusion startup or program build.</li>
<li>Experience supporting infusion suite or ambulatory infusion services.</li>
<li>Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacy operations</li></ul></div>
