You&rsquo;ll be joining our <b>Civils projects team on HPC</b>, in Bridgewater. We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.</p>

As the Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing Advisor you will be part of our SHEQ Team who are responsible for Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality for our direct employees and associated sub-contractors on the Hinkley Point C Project.

<p><b>
What will you be doing?</b></p>

<p>You'll advise, guide and coach all personnel on the project with the implementation of the Health &amp; Safety Management System (HSMS)</p>
<p>
You'll be responsible on advising on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.</p>
<p>
Undertake site inspections /audits in accordance with the internal audit procedure and relevant standards and provide support and drive timely close out of actions.</p>
<p>
Support the Project Manager / Director in the review and implementation of Construction Phase Plans / Project Execution Plan</p>
<p>
Communicate effectively (Accurate, Relevant and Timely) with their line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents.</p>
<p>
You'll support the Project Teams in the accident / incident investigations procedure and timely communication of the findings.</p>
<p>
Assist the project / Operating Unit (OU) with the accurate, relevant and timely reporting and recording of incidents.</p>
<p>
We'll ask you to monitor of the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assisting the Procurement Team.</p>
<p>
Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.</p>
<p>
You'll assist with the development, regular review and update of the HSMS.</p>
<p>
Contribute to the development of a behavioural safety training.</p>
<p>
Support the business in building winning teams through promoting campaigns, attending and contributing to meetings.</p>
<p>
To ensure the highest possible Health, Safety &amp; Environmental standards are employed across the service, adhering to MGroup &amp; NNB health and safety policy/ environmental policy and actively supporting the Behavioural safety culture that is an integral part of the Milestone working environment and the Zero Harm initiative at HPC.</p>
<p>
The role will include completion of HSE Inspections.</p>

<p><b>What you&rsquo;ll bring</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>Previous experience in the field of Construction and/or Highways operations</li>
<li>Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or above</li>
<li>NVQ level 3 or above in Occupational Health &amp; Safety</li>
<li>CSCS Card</li>
<li>NEBOSH Certificate is desirable</li>
<li>Accident/ incident investigation experience is desirable</li>
<li>Core Competencies</li>
</ul>
<p>Additional Information:</p>
<ul>
<li>You must be able to provide a 3 year work/unemployment /education history required for vetting process in line with HPC protocols</li>
<li>The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access</li>
<li>You must be able to obtain a HPC pass</li>
