We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead moderately complex to complex initiatives from proposal through post-implementation. This role bridges business needs and technology execution, ensuring applications meet user expectations and regulatory standards. You will serve as a functional lead, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.</div><div></div><div>
Key Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Lead functional design and testing efforts for enterprise-wide initiatives, compliance requirements, and BAU system enhancements.</li><li>
Prepare detailed functional specifications, test plans, and test cases; execute and validate results.</li><li>
Facilitate backlog reviews and proactively identify gaps in user stories&mdash;asking &ldquo;what-if&rdquo; questions to ensure completeness.</li><li>
Collaborate with product owners to validate implementation accuracy and business alignment.</li><li>
Engage in data modeling and ERD diagram interpretation to support system integration and conversion efforts.</li><li>
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and post-launch stability.</li><li>
Act as Test Coordinator for large initiatives involving multiple applications and teams.</li><li>
Support Commercial Customer Onboarding applications and related systems.</li><li>
Monitor scope, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Corporate Technology standards.</li><li>
Drive resolution of issues during testing and post-implementation phases.</li><li>
Promote a culture of belonging and innovation aligned with the M&amp;T Bank brand.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Required Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; combined experience in business analytics, operations, or higher education.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.</li><li>
Proficiency in personal computing and relevant software tools.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</li><li>
Subject matter expertise in commercial banking applications and systems.</li><li>
Experience with Jira or similar backlog management tools.</li><li>
Familiarity with application development platforms and banking frameworks.</li><li>
Ability to write complete user stories and identify gaps in existing documentation.</li><li>
Strong curiosity and analytical mindset&mdash;testing beyond documented boundaries.</li><li>
Experience supporting commercial customer onboarding or similar enterprise applications.</li><li>
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across technical teams.</li><li>
Understanding of bank acquisition methodology or conversion experience.</li></ul><div></div><div>

M&amp;T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $70,023.60 - $116,706.01 Annual (USD). The successful candidate&rsquo;s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.<div></div><div>
