Maas Verde Landscape Restoration

<div>Position summary:

The Construction Crew Member is responsible for working with other team members on all areas of operations. Experience with complex landscape projects and/or work in welding and masonry is highly desired. Must be able to move soil and rocks with a wheelbarrow, as well as constantly kneeling, crouching, squatting, pushing, pulling, and walking.

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>The most important and essential need for this role is the willingness to learn and be coachable</li>
<li>Ability to problem solve and complete residential and commercial landscape projects to adhere to project specifications as well as existing site conditions</li>
<li>Experience in working on carpentry projects such as decks, fences, pergolas, and trellises</li>
<li>Experience in installing environmental and erosion control measures such silt fence, mulch socks, tree protection, fencing, and rock berms</li>
<li>Experience in working on steel welding projects such as edging, fences, pergolas, planter boxes, retaining walls, and trellises</li>
<li>Experience in working on masonry projects such as retaining walls, sidewalks, and patios</li>
<li>Experience in lifting heavy objects, using hand tools, constantly kneeling, crouching, squatting, pushing, pulling, and walking</li>
<li>Experience in working on irrigation systems under the supervision of a licensed irrigator</li>
<li>Experience in planting small, medium, large, and very large plants including groundcover, shrubs, and trees</li>
<li>Experience in trimming and remove weeds, dead plants and trees, and other general landscaping maintenance duties</li>
<li>Experience in invasive grass and plant management through trimming, pruning, removal, and herbicide application</li>
<li>Experience in operating hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to effectively complete a given task</li>
<li>Experience in working in a team to move large quantities of different landscaping materials around the job site</li>
</ul>

<li>Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance &ndash; Responsible for performing routine cleaning, tidying, and maintenance on equipment, tools, trucks, and trailers and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Specifically responsible for recording, communicating, and carrying out preventative maintenance measures such as, but not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, tire replacements, filter changes, and any other equipment and vehicle maintenance services</li>
<li>Equipment Selection - Determining the type of tools and equipment needed to complete a task</li>
<li>Installation- Installing equipment, materials, wiring, or programs to meet specifications</li>
<li>Instructing- Teaching to complete tasks efficiently and effectively</li>
<li>Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one</li>
<li>Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things</li>
<li>Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work</li>
<li>Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the task at hand</li>
<li>Operation and Control &ndash; Operating equipment or systems in a controlled manner with safety at the forefront</li>
<li>Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the necessary tools</li>
<li>Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do</li>
<li>Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively and respectfully</li>
<li>Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Level of Education: High School Graduate or GED</li>
<li>2-3 years&rsquo; experience in any landscaping, construction, masonry, steel welding, arborist work, carpentry, and irrigation</li>
<li>OSHA-10 certified or able to get OSHA-10 certified within 30 days of employment</li>
</ul>
Work Environment:
Outdoor work environment while performing the duties of this job, the Crew Lead is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The Crew Lead is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The Crew Lead is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud</div>
